A Tiered Lace Pronovias Dress For Bohemian and Black Tie Wedding in Ibiza

With all of this gorgeous sunshine we’ve been having of late, I have felt like I could be somewhere on the Med some days but then I saw these images and came crashing back to earth. There’s just no comparison to the sparkling blue waters with the sun beating down and I can see exactly why this couple chose the island to say ‘I do’.

The wedding of Mr and Mrs Magin on Tagomago, a private island in Ibiza. The bride is the editor of an Austrian womans magazine called MADONNA, and her husband works with internet companies. They live in Austria so they enlisted the help of Kerry Anne Winton from Ibiza Wedding to help them plan their wonderful day and the fabulous Gypsy Westwood took these beautiful images.

“We both wanted a bohemian chic wedding with a relaxed atmosphere. The colours were soft and we felt that the theme fit perfectly with the Ibizan vibe.”

“I travelled to London to find my wedding dress and had appointments at Brown’s, Harrodsburg and Pronovias. My dress was the very first one I tried at my first appointment. I fell in love with it and it fitted perfectly with the setting of the wedding.”

The bride added a fabulous pair of blush and gold Charlotte Olympia shoes and a flower crown to complete the boho look. She wore Flowerbomb by Viktor&Rolf, her favourite perfume, and a heart Tiffany & Co. bracelet which her husband gave her on one of their first dates. Hair and makeup was done by Ibiza based Louise Maxwell.

The bridesmaids wore twobirds Bridesmaid dresses, in two shades of pink and lilac, with flowers in their hair. The little flower girls wore a selection of gorgeous Ibizencian white dresses.

“We met in Berlin through friends. It was love at first sight. We got engaged six month later on a sailing trip through the Carribean. Nine months later we got married.”

“Our favourite part of the day was the ceremony by Jon Michell. It was magical.”

While ‘Shine On’ by James Blunt played, the bride walked down the sun soaked aisle on the arm of her father.

The bride’s sister read a poem about love during the ceremony, before the couple said the vows which they had written themselves.

 “Since day one we’ve shared something incredible because in you I have found my truest and
closest friend.
There is no emotion for what I feel today – and every day – about you.
All I can say is that I love you, will always love you, and that you are the only person I’ll ever love this much.
With you I want to spend the rest of my life, knowing that there will not only be joyful and sunny days.
I promise to always be honest to you, and to always put you first.
I promise to never take you for granted and to encourage, support, and believe in you.
I promise to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad times, in happiness as well as in sadness. Today, tomorrow and forever, as long as we both shall live.”

Mr and Mrs Magin chose Ibiza based photographer Gypsy Westwood and videographer Garry McManus of Infin8 Images to capture their beautiful wedding day.

I love a wedding that embraces black tie and kudos to the guys for keeping their suits on in the sweltering heat. The groom had his relaxed style tux tailor made for him in Vienna by Venturini.
