Kate Edmondson Bridal Couture + Modern, Intimate City Wedding Vibes

It is always such an incredible pleasure to be able to share the work of our Little Book Wedding Directory members here on Love My Dress.

Firstly – let me make it clear – we never ever intend to run the kind of directory that is awash with suppliers. We personally select and approve every individual member and would rather maintain a boutique feel and ‘hand’picked’ vibe to our directory resource.

Secondly, we really genuinely love to get behind our members, like London based Kate Edmondson. Kate Edmondson of Kate Edmondson Bridal Couture. Kate shared these images with us recently following an editorial shoot that she participated in with a number of other fantastic wedding artists and suppliers (see the full list below). All words below by Kate herself….

“This shoot is aimed at the growing trend for couples to choose a small, intimate, relaxed wedding in the heart of London. Carlton House Terrace is based in the heart of London, a stone’s throw away from Trafalgar Square. So we knew it would form the perfect setting for our shoot.”

“We created three looks for the shoot – the rehearsal dinner look, the look for the civil ceremony inside the house and finally, the evening reception look, which was much more relaxed.”

“For the rehearsal dinner look I created a blazer dress, which was made with Mikado fabric. The blazer dress has a feminine soft tailored look – double breasted with a single button and loop fastening detail.”

“We made a puff and fitted sleeve for the dress with cover button detail. We teamed the jacket with a beaded headband and earrings from Victoria Percival accessories, with bridal boots from Freya Rose.”

“The second look was for the civil ceremony. This look was ultra modern, and I chose a light embroidered tulle fabric with a plunging neckline and open back detail. It has a small puddle train at the back. The front is part lined allowing transparency, with and a light airy feel for the dress to flow.”

“The third look was created for the evening reception. This is relaxed and fun – a full length tulle dress with 3D tulle textured bodice. The skirt is plain tulle with a front split detail, which allows easy movement to dance the evening away!”
