Anna Kara Trunk Show, 21st – 23rd October, Miss Bush, Surrey

Anna Kara at Miss Bush TORVI 2

Anna Kara is a name that should be on the radar of all brides looking for a soft, light, feminine and romantic wedding dress.

These are gowns with a youthful vibe and subtle bohemian style and better still, you can them on within the comfort and beauty of the Miss Bush bridal boutique this weekend, at the Anna Kara Trunk Show.

Earlier this week, we spoke with infamous Miss Bush MD and stylist, Emma Marshall, to find out more about these truly gorgeous gowns…

Emma, tell us why you fell in love with the Anna Kara brand?

I was searching for beautiful, soft and light range of dresses which critically didn’t have too much ‘bling!’ I love a sequin as much as the next girl but I have managed to turn The Chapel into a safe haven for brides averse to sparkle.

Miss Bush is known for clean lined simplicity and contemporary classics, so I needed a standout brand that offered a unique personality and point of view to complement our existing collections

How would you describe this brand to our readers?

Delicate, ethereal, slightly seductive and comfortable! I know that the last adjective doesn’t seem to fit in the world of wedding dresses but so many of my clients put it high on their priority list.

They are also perfect lightweight dresses that can be thrown into hand luggage for destination weddings. Brides also love their look for rural and rustic barn weddings but many of their sharper looks are equally at home in a city!

What price range are Anna Kara dresses and are these gowns for all brides in all sizes?

The majority of the collection is priced between £2100 and £3000

As standard, these dresses are available from a 34 52/ UK 4 to 22. Special measures are available.

The Anna Kara team in Krakow can make adaptations to the design and colour and can also adapt the translucency of the fabrics. Light structure and bust cups can be added as well as measurement changes.

The production team at Miss Bush are incredible in their fitting and have adapted designs to be bra friendly too using skilled hand sewing and applique to disguise straps.

What leads times are you working with currently for new dress orders?

Allow 12 to 16 weeks delivery from order to arrival in the UK and I would suggest having the dress arrive not less than 8 weeks before the wear date. As with all our designers, a 6-to-9-month order time would be preferable but express delivery is available if required

Do you have a favourite Anna Kara design?

From the ‘23 Wanderlust Collection I love Skade, an incredible funnel necked dotted tulle dress that softly whispers of a gothic aesthetic.

From The Blue Moon collection I adore Gudrun, it is weightless, delicate, almost fragile belying expertly cut.

The dresses have only just dropped, and from feedback from brides, Ivar has proven to be extremely popular. Casually sexy with an incredible applique fabric set against clean lined simplicity, it is designed to steal hearts.

Tell us about your upcoming Anna Kara trunk show.

Trunk Shows are exactly that! A designer sends you a Trunk of additional pieces from the collection. Trunk Shows are always time limited, and in Anna Kara’s case, accompanied by a 10% incentive to buy
