Georgia and Stephen celebrated their love with a glamorous and elegant multicultural wedding on August 9th, 2023. The event took place at Orsett Hall, a beautiful country house nestled in the picturesque Essex countryside.
To bring their vision to life, the couple enlisted the expertise of Abigail Alade of Belle House Events. As a nature enthusiast and an avid photographer, the bride’s affinity for the natural world played a significant role in the wedding’s design. Stephen, sharing a similar passion for nature, often enjoys leisurely walks amidst scenic beauty. To honor this shared love of the natural world, Abigail beautifully integrated an elegant and impactful floral theme in the couple’s favourite shades of blush and pastel.
In a charming nod to their journey together, Georgia and Stephen chose to tie the knot on the same date they got engaged, three years prior. Their special day was beautifully captured by a photographer whose talent for using natural light resonated deeply with the couple.

Bridal Beauty & Accessories
I had two pair of shoes for my wedding day, these were a pair of white Sophia Webster heels, and a pair of white Chuck Taylor All Star Converse.
My hair stylist was Deborah Lola and my makeup artist was See Enhanced.
The Dress
I purchased my dress from the Little White Dress bridal outlet, based in Gravesend. They were very lovely and understanding.
They were patient and understood how I wished to look on my wedding day and let me try on different dresses.
Even when I found the dress that I wanted they still encouraged me to take time to think if I really believed that was my dream dress.
I would recommend other brides visit them too.
My dream was to feel like a real-life princess on my wedding day. So, I knew that the type of dress that I was to choose had to be much bigger. I loved the bridal coverup by Yinka Alli the most, because it completed my whole wedding day look.
The Ceremony
My father walked me down the aisle to the sound of Nathaniel Bassey & Micah Stampley’s ‘This God is too Good’.
Our church, The Living Temple Church, lead our wedding ceremony, which was officiated by Pastor Daniel Conteh and Bishop Olufemi Odubonojo.
We had both a religious reading and a poem that was especially written for us, delivered during our ceremony. Our reading was taken from the Bible – Isaiah 43:18-19. This was significant for us because it was the reading that Stephen and I first read as a couple that speaks on not holding on to the past anymore, and there is a brand new and beautiful thing that God will do within our union.
Our poem was written and read by one of my bridesmaids that speaks on love.
Our rings were by jewellery designer Dovid Fehler at London Jeweller.
This is where my engagement ring was from – Stephen had a lovely experience finding my engagement ring with Dovid, so we decided to return to him when looking for our wedding bands.
Photography
Our photographer was Whitney Lloyd. We chose Whitney to be our wedding photographer because Whitney has captured many weddings with such beautiful, natural light.
Whitney was an absolute blessing to have on the day and was so kind-hearted and peaceful in a such a high paced environment.

How They Met
Stephen and I attended the same church for a few years where we had never really spoken to each other, but we were relatively very good friends. After some time, our friendship drew closer and closer. We thought to explore things further, so Stephen asked me out on a date on the 9th August, 2020.
As time went on, we got to know each other deeper and believed we had found our person in one another. 12th February 2022, Stephen took me to where we had our first date and asked me to be his wife. 18 months later, we decided to tie the knot in front our family and friends on Wednesday 9th August, 2023.
The Reception
Our reception was held in the pavilion building at Orsett Hall. Our planner assisted us in finding this venue. She guided us choosing somewhere that provided good guest accessibility, somewhere that was surrounded with lots of natural green areas and somewhere that would allow us to bring in our own caterer.
This last point was important as this was a Nigerian and Caribbean wedding and we wanted our food to be the perfect blend of both of our cultures.
When initially thinking about the wedding we wanted, all I know is that I wanted it to feature blush pink. Our planner and stylist, Abigail, created a moodboard and entitled it ‘The Garden Dream’.
Our flowers were by Studio chi Design House.
We had a cake by The Humble Cake Company It was a three-tier cake which included our favourite flavours.
We had two caterers on the day; Guava Nights and Bri’s Kitchen.
