Jacqueline in Bon Bridé For Her Modern & Minimalist Bistro Wedding & Ring Warming

KOLA weddingz Jacqueline Christian 158

Jacqueline and Christian tied the knot in June at the Brasserie Nitz in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany.

The bride wove her Spanish heritage into a chic and contemporary look, selecting a modern, minimalist and backless bridal gown from British designer Bon Bridé. She honoured the ‘something blue’ tradition with an elegant pair of Manolos, while her statement earrings and wide-brimmed hat added a touch of bold sophistication.

The couple hired a planner to help them organise and style their day and turned to KOLA Weddingz & Parties to support.

It’s such a delight to see the creations of such a talented British designer worn by bride’s all over the world. Enjoy!

The Look

I wore the BB:13 design by Bon Bridé. I love Spanish fashion, especially the flamenco style – and this is why I also decided on an open back, a tight top, a hat and a fan as an accessory. I wanted a modern and minimalistic bridal look.

My dress was from White Concepts bridal boutique. First and foremost, it was important to me to feel comfortable and welcome. And also that my companions could be there.

So it was nice to be able to toast the appointment with a Prosecco at the beginning. The advice was excellent and very cordial. I would recommend White Concepts to every bride.

I discovered the Bon Bride dress during my online research and it blew me away. The hat made the whole styling perfect in the end.

My hat was by Old Habits Die Hard and my shoes were Hangisi light blue satin pumps by Manolo Blahnik. I wore a beautiful back necklace with a Swarovski crystal pendant from Noni Mode. I found my earrings and the Andalusian fan in a little boutique on Mallorca.

We really enjoyed the time of the getting ready together because it shows us that we are both our own biggest supporters.

The Ceremony & Ring Warming

My father walked me down the aisle to the sound of Elvis’s ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love With You’.

We had a ring warming – a tradition of Celtic origin, which involves a long cord being stretched through all the guest rows, and the rings passed from guest to guest.

Everyone has the opportunity to touch them and ‘warm them up’. Each guest can give the rings a wish for the bridal couple or just look at them.

And finally, the rings end up at the front and handed over to the bride and groom so that they can put on the rings.

Daniela from Urbanerie was our photographer. We love her timeless style of taking pictures and the ability to capture the beauty, moments and emotions in a very authentic way. We would recommend her in an instant.

How They Met

We met at the young age of 16 and became a couple when we were 18. After 18 years of relationship, he then asked me on vacation in front of friends and family if I would like to marry him. We were only engaged for a very short time, half a year to be exact.

Christian wore a dark blue smoking by Boss, via Breuninger Nürnber. His shoes were also from Boss.

The Reception

Our floral design was Blumen Bingold, who were a recommendation from our planner, Kathrin at KOLA Weddingz & Parties. And since the two have worked together many times before, we knew that everything would be exactly how we wanted it.

Our cake blended in perfectly with the surroundings, it was by Sweet Romantza.

No normal party favors but we had fabric napkins printed with our logo, which the guests could take home.

Also, our seating plan was a shelf of escort drinks and personalised drink stirrers. The guests were of course allowed to take these home with them.

A Note From The Planner

KOLA Eventz & Parties

We have adapted the entire decoration to the interior of the location. If the location already has such an extraordinary interior design, in my opinion the wedding design has to be integrated calmly and precisely – that’s why we have completely dispensed with tablecloths here in order to retain the French brasserie character.

In addition, the colours of the sofa upholstery are picked up in the flowers and the place decoration.

The light blue cloth napkins were personalised with the bride and groom’s logo and also served as a guest gift. The result was a modern wedding look that naturally blended into the brasserie’s unique ‘savoir-vivre’ flair.

Evening & Dancing

We danced our first dance to Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’.

We had so many beautiful moments, we can’t even say which was the best. For me as the bride, it was a very special moment when my father guided me to my future husband.

Words of Wedded Wisdom

We would advise any couple to involve a wedding planner. Getting something special off the ground simply requires a lot of time that you don’t have in everyday life. A wedding planner does so much for you and the know-how and experience is so valuable. And on the wedding day you can really enjoy it and take care of your partner and your guests, knowing that there is someone in the background who is pulling the strings and who has your backs.

Our wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without our wedding planner, KOLA Weddingz & Parties.
