Hannah and Alex’s 8th July wedding at Germantown Gables in Louisville, Kentucky, was a beautiful celebration set against a celestial-inspired backdrop.
Wearing the stunning Orion dress by Watters, Hannah embraced her love of starry style with a constellation seating chart, hanging stars, and a gorgeous crescent moon prop that created the perfect atmosphere for both their ceremony and reception. Her style truly shaped the day. Alex wore a dark green suit, while floral accents were kept simple and neutral.
I adore these photographs by US-based photographer Brandi Potter, who the bride discovered on TikTok. Enjoy!

Our venue was Germantown Gables in Louisville, Kentucky. We chose this venue and location because it was unique and inclusive of all cultures and backgrounds. Alex wore the emerald green tuxedo, from The Black Tux.
I fell in love with my dress, the Orion by Watters, after seeing it on Instagram years before I was engaged to Alex. I knew it was the one, and when I finally tried it on at Rebecca’s Wedding Boutique , nothing else compared. Its celestial theme felt perfect for our day.
I paired the dress with a cape veil, recommended by my seamstress, which I loved after initially being unsure about wearing a veil. My shoes were Bernardo’s Raleigh in champagne, and for accessories, I borrowed a wedding band from one of my bridesmaids as my ‘something borrowed,’ which meant so much to me.
My bridesmaids dresses were by Show Me Your Mumu. They wore the Jasmine Halter Maxi Dress in champagne luxe satin.
For the ceremony, I walked down the aisle with my dad to ‘Calgary’, by Bon Iver, played by a live quartet. My dad officiated, which made it so special for us. My engagement ring is from The Jewel Box – a local antique shop. Alex’s rose gold ring is from Catbird and my wedding band is from Jennie Kwon.
Alex really wanted us to write our own vows, which I was hesitant about, but we did it anyway. Mine were lighthearted – I even compared myself to Larry David – and Alex’s were incredibly touching.
Oor photographer was Brandi Potter, chosen after discovering her work on TikTok. Highly recommended for her talent and kindness.
Met in college and have been together for seven years. We were engaged on 1st July at Beavertail State Park in Rhode Island, a location meaningful to us both, from a prior visit. We were engaged for just over a year before the wedding.
Fable Floral Design created an ethereal vibe and we had a cake by Allie Baked – it was vegan strawberry flavour. One of my favourite moments of the day was sitting at the sweetheart table, looking at their guests, and feeling loved.
Wedding planning involves changes and sacrifices, but remember you’re marrying your favourite person, and celebrating together makes it all worthwhile.
