Photographed by Claire Coulthard and conceived and styled by Harriet Jones of One Splendid Day, this editorial brings together candlelit tablescapes, painterly spring flowers and fashion-led bridal styling within the setting of Dewsall Court, exploring a more relaxed and expressive approach to modern English country house entertaining.
Unbridled Studio’s gowns were central to the direction of the shoot, chosen for their fluid silhouettes and modern detailing. Styled with beautiful jewellery including designs from Emma Rose Jewellery, the overall look balanced contemporary bridal fashion with the timeless character of Dewsall Court’s ancient chapel and stunnin grounds.
The team drew inspiration from the beautiful spring light, English country estates and the warmth of long-table dining shared with friends. Floral installations by One Splendid Day transformed the chapel with layered seasonal blooms in soft apricot, blush and buttery tones, while the late afternoon light across the Herefordshire hills gave the entire editorial a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere.

Concept & Purpose
The concept behind this editorial was to capture an opulent yet relaxed celebration – romantic but modern, with expressive floral styling and candlelit tablescapes.
We set out to celebrate modern romance through the lens of English countryside elegance, an exploration of how opulence and ease can co-exist. The intention was to create an atmosphere that feels intimate yet grand, expressive yet understated.
The Inspiration
Our inspiration came from the natural beauty of spring and the grandeur of English estates.
We were drawn to the idea of creating a luxurious yet effortless atmosphere through texture and tone – the glow of candlelight, expressive florals, and soft, floating fabrics. Capturing intimacy and warmth within a grand setting.

The chapel installation by One Splendid Day – an abundance of seasonal blooms in painterly tones brought the space to life and modern romance feel, while the surrounding landscape added that unmistakable English charm.
By the time the sun dipped behind the hills, Herefordshire felt almost Italian in its glow.
The Team
We wanted to evoke a sense of freedom and ease, set against refined, opulent details. Movement was key; the gowns needed to flow effortlessly, feeling elegant yet relaxed.
