Behind BIRDIE are Kitty and Dave, a multi award winning duo who between them bring an extraordinary combination of creative vision and classic vehicle expertise to everything they do. Kitty spent 13 years as an art and textiles teacher before channelling her eye for detail into designing BIRDIE’s stunning interiors and bespoke backdrops. Dave has run his own classic vehicle restoration workshop since the 1980s, winning countless awards and countless admirers for his work bringing neglected vehicles back to life. Together, they make a formidable team.

The story began in 2016 when Kitty discovered a rusting 1978 camper van in a hay barn and fell completely in love with it. She named her BIRDIE after finding chickens roosting in the engine bay, and with Dave’s restoration skills and Kitty’s creative instincts, a business was born.
