Claire McGowan Wedding Photography

Hi I’m Claire McGowan, a wedding photographer based in the North East UK with a relaxed, documentary style of photography. I always appreciate what a privilege it is to be invited along to capture such an important and joyful occasion.

With over ten years of experience photographing weddings I love to capture the moments and details which make each wedding so unique.

My goal, as your photographer, is to focus on capturing your story in the most beautiful way possible whilst making sure the photos capture your authenticity as a couple. I want my couples to look back on their photos in years to come and relive the joy and excitement they felt on the day.

I pride myself in working in the most unobtrusive way possible, capturing the day as it naturally unfolds and photographing the real moments and emotions with a relaxed documentary style.

How long do you stay for?

I capture the fully story of your wedding day. I arrive three hours before the ceremony and stay until after the first dance to capture some of the party. My service isn’t limited.

Do you still capture family groups?

Yes! My photography style is mostly candid but I am more than happy to gather families for quick group photos. I have a great system for getting through these quickly and easily.

Do you edit the photos?

I select the best 1000 images from the day and carefully edit each individual photo with my signature style. You will receive them all in colour with selected ones duplicated into black and white.

How do I receive the photos?

Your photos are uploaded onto a secure online web gallery with options to share with family and friends. High resolution downloads are available for all of the photos. Prints can be purchased through the gallery and bespoke fine art albums can be added to any package.
