They. Look. AMAZING!! Can you just follow us around for life?!”

Hi, I am Helen, I am bubbly, creative, and very easy to get along with. Obsessed with beautiful light, real raw emotion & fun adventurous love stories.

I am a London based fine art and documentary photographer; a storyteller and an artist, shooting both real and ethereal images. I love using natural and available light to create beautiful, atmospheric, cinematic work. I absolutely love people, and like to get in amongst the action to capture all those moments and emotions as they happen, in a relaxed and fun way. I am great at putting people at ease and get on with everyone.

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t inspired to make beautiful images. I picked up my first camera as a child and have been shooting pictures ever since. I am so incredibly privileged to be able to do what I do.

I have an MA and undergraduate degree in documentary photography and photojournalism, and when I am not snapping fantastic nuptials I work as a documentary photographer, covering stories on issues I care about, in India, Afghanistan, and Kashmir, as well as the UK. I have exhibited work in a number of photo festivals and galleries around the world, and have been published in various newspapers and magazines

I called my company Gin Fizz Photographic as I wanted something that reminded me of my Grandparents, who were married in the 1930’s, and were so important to me; theirs was a most beautiful love story indeed. I also wanted a name that had a feeling of celebration, happiness, and sunshine. And who doesn’t love a gin fizz!

Helloha, just to say those photos rock, wow! You are so frickin talented!! We have the most amazing & beautiful record of our day. I cannot thank you enough ever! You are so clever!! We have all agreed you are the photographic don, big love xxxx

Thank you so much for everything you did at the wedding. You made so many people laugh. Everyone loved you.”

“We are somewhat speechless. These photos are exactly what we wanted. We cannot thank you enough. Honestly your work is just incredible. And each and every one of our guests has a story about our ‘fabulous photographer’. Honest to God, I wish I had the lifestyle where I could hire you for every party we have. Thank you. Thank you!”

All the guests mentioned how lovely you were, it was an absolute joy to have you there! Thanks for making the whole process beforehand super easy too – we really enjoy drinking gin with you and hope to stay in touch :)”

How long do you stay?

Until the end of the wedding, whatever time that may be! I never leave after first dance! I love a good party, and like to grab a cocktail, get involved, and capture all those amazing evening shots. That's when all the fun and craziness happens; and who doesn't love a dance floor? I can't tell the story of your day, if I leave before the story is over.

What's your background in photography?

I picked up my first camera as a child and have been shooting pictures ever since. I have an MA and undergraduate degree in documentary photography and photojournalism, and I have been photographing weddings since I was at university, so for over 15 years now, and I have loved every minute of it. Well, almost every minute. When I am not snapping fantastic nuptials I work as a documentary photographer and photojournalist, covering stories in India, Afghanistan, and Kashmir, as well as the UK. I have exhibited work in a number of photo festivals and galleries around the world, and have been published in various newspapers and magazines.

What's your style and approach to the day?

I am a fine art and documentary photographer, both a storyteller and an artist. Shooting both real and ethereal images. I love using natural and available light to create beautiful, atmospheric, cinematic work. I absolutely love people, and like to get in amongst the action to capture all those moments and emotions as they happen, in a relaxed and fun way. I am great at putting people at ease and get on with everyone. I also love shooting all those gorgeous details that make your day unique, as well as making stunning fine art portraits of the two of you.

I hate being photographed, will it be really awkward and uncomfortable?

No, I promise you it won't be. Firstly we have a pre wedding consultation over a chai latte or a g&t or two; to meet and chat about your wedding plans. Then we do a complimentary pre shoot so that you get comfortable with the camera, we get to know each other, have loads of fun, and create some fabulous images for you to keep. So by the time your wedding day comes around you will be totally relaxed and happy. Also, I won't make you do any weird posing or cheesy stuff at all, ever.

Do you travel?

Yes! Absolutely! Travel is one of the greatest pleasures in life. Well, in mine anyway. Nowhere is too remote, or in fact too near for that matter. I have shot weddings in India, USA, Italy, Spain, Germany, Greece and Kashmir, as well as all over the UK.

What kind of couples do you work with?

The best kind! You. Whether you are fun, creative, or adventurous; unconventional, carefree, or cool; romantic, introverted, or a little bit wild. Whether you are having the biggest party, or an elopement in the mountains; a city wedding, or a festival; as long as we can make fabulous images that tell the story of your day in the absolute best way, then I am there.
