Lauraspaperheart is a heart-melting solo acoustic act based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. A classic mixture of warm guitar strings and soaring, ethereal vocals,. A refreshing acoustic wedding singer, Laura’s charming reworking of popular songs and classics will provide the perfect backdrop to your event, comparisons have been made in vocal ability to that of Eva Cassidy and Joni Mitchell. Laura’s repertoire features an extensive and diverse list of songs, her favourites from today’s Charts, The Nineties, The Noughties & Golden Oldies, and traverses a huge selection of genres including Pop, RnB, Folk,Indie & Rock.

​Laura is an award winning songstress originally from cumbria who trained at Paul McCartney’s prestigious ’FAME’ performing arts university LIPA from 2009-12.

What parts of the wedding day can you perform at?

I can perform at any part of your day but most commonly I am booked for Ceremonies and Drink Receptions or for a full day including the Wedding Breakfast & First Dance too!

Can you learn a special song for us?

Yes! I’m very happy to learn a song for your big day, whether it’s your aisle song or your first dance or some other special moment you would like to highlight! I love learning special songs for my couples!

What kind of music do you perform?

I have a real mix of genres in my repertoire including pop, rock, indie, folk, country, jazz and RnB. I love making a song my own, so I often play acoustic versions of songs that you might not expect!

How far do you travel?

I’m happy to travel up to 60mi inclusive of the price and I charge a little extra for further afield!

Can you perform outdoors?

Yes I’m happy to perform outdoors whether permitting! If it’s super hot I’d like some shade and if it’s a bit rainy (but still good enough to be outside) I would like some cover, I can’t get my equipment or guitar soggy!
I have a battery powered amp for more rural settings like woodland weddings etc but usually require a plug socket unless otherwise discussed!

How does booking work?

I usually ask for a deposit, to secure your date. This is refundable up to 90 days before your date when the remainder of the payment would be due.

Do you bring all your own equipment?

Yes I have my own Personal Amplifier so there are no extra costs for that,

Can you play a Spotify playlist between sets?

Yes I can provide background music when I’m taking breaks so there are no awkward silences!
