A symbolic wedding ceremony in Italy is not legally binding. Most UK couples complete the legal paperwork in the UK before travelling and then enjoy a fully personalised symbolic ceremony in Italy, with complete freedom to marry anywhere — from villas and beaches to vineyards or stunning locations in Tuscany or Lake Como — without legal restrictions.

If you prefer to marry legally in Italy, you can do so by completing the required documentation in advance. I provide expert guidance to ensure the process is smooth and stress-free. Many approved venues allow the official civil ceremony to take place on site, and in several cases I can officiate with official delegation from the Mayor, ensuring your marriage is legally valid and beautifully delivered in English with elegance and warmth.

Can you create a fully personalised ceremony in English?

Absolutely. Every ceremony I create is bespoke and in fluent English. Having worked as a destination wedding planner for over 10 years, I love listening to couples and learning what makes their story unique.
