It may be cliche to say, but if you are looking for a wedding photographer you need to look no further, you’ve found him! For us, choosing a photographer was as important as choosing a venue and we are so thankful that we found Neil. We were after a photographer that could catch the candid moments. What are your sustainable practices?
My photography business was founded on my love for wildlife and rewilding Britain. Initially, I would donate 2% of my profits to local charities. Today, much has changed so I have outlined this below for you:
I am able to offset my travel by removing 20 tones of C02 each year through the Carbon Neutral Britain initiative.
I donate a tree for every booking to my very own UK grove founded in 2024! A space for all the trees to grow and flourish together. Trees will be planted alongside other native trees and in time, will help to restore the Caledonian Forest and along with it, the wildlife there such as the red squirrel, black grouse, capercaille, pine marten and the golden eagle.
No USB is manufactured here in the UK, the initial manufacture takes place in China or Taiwan. They are then shipped to distribution centres across the UK who will then personalise the USB for you. This process has a global environmental impact so I opt to provide digital downloads.
The internet is one of the most carbon-polluting industries on the planet. So, I use a 100% renewably powered website and gallery hosting provider called Krystal.
Handcrafting memories for the future, I advocate Folio Albums who make a conscious effort take what was great about historical processes and materials and bring it forward into the future without damaging our planet or its potential.
My tangible selection of fine art prints are also packaged plastic free.
How far in advance should we contact you?
6-18 months. Key dates book quickly. I would love to hear from you.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No.
Do you travel outside of East Anglia?
I do, and I love it. I travel all over the UK (and occasionally Europe) for Weddings and Elopements. A small surcharge is applied for fuel/ferry/flights. It’s amazing how affordable flights are these days.
Do you offer wedding albums and prints?
Yes, bespoke wedding albums are available to order with my online self-ordering system accessible after viewing your images. Family and friends can log in, view, and purchase their favourites too. No purchase is necessary to view your gallery of course! Everyone is welcome to look at the best man busting his dance moves whom you invite via your private gallery link.
We are camera shy what is your approach?
I prefer being behind the camera to being in front of it, so can completely relate. If I had a pound for every time one of my couples told me that they are anxious about being in front of the camera, well, you can fill in the gap! My approach has been crafted over many years of working with people and before any creative or technical skill, the ability to put people at ease is the most important asset for any photographer. I keep things fun and flowing, and never too serious. There are no rules after all. I let couples just be themselves. I don’t stick to rigid posing but give soft direction to fit the mood, the environment, and the personality of each couple.
