At The Nottingham Lace Garter Co, we specialise in handcrafted bridal garters made with the finest Nottingham lace – a timeless fabric with royal connections and a rich British heritage. The very same lace worn by Princess Diana and the Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton) is woven into each of our elegant designs.

Our lace is still produced in the last remaining factory of its kind in the UK, using historic lace looms in Nottingham. These machines preserve original vintage patterns that have been treasured for generations, giving each garter a truly authentic feel.

Founded by Heidi Lawton, a costume design graduate with a background in embroidery and a deep love of traditional textiles, this beautiful collection evolved from her first successful business, Extra Special Touch. In 2020, Heidi launched The Nottingham Lace Garter Co to dedicate space to her growing range of bespoke, heirloom-quality garters.

Every garter is individually handmade in Heidi’s Nottingham studio by a small, skilled team. From the first stitch to the final ribbon tie, each piece is crafted with care, using locally sourced lace, pure silk, and hand-finished trimmings. Nothing is mass-produced – every order is made-to-measure and lovingly packaged, ready to be treasured by brides around the world.
