About The Wedit
I’m Gemma, founder of The Wedit – a wedding content creator based in Colchester, Essex, serving couples across the UK and beyond.
Whether you want to create some fun, trending transitions at your bridal prep ready to go viral on TikTok, or simply capture unedited photos and videos to scroll through the next day, I’ve got you covered.
Think of me as your very own personal paparazzi for the day – or like having that friend who never has their phone out of their hand, snapping all of those candid moments and always making sure to get your best angle.
It means your bridal party and weddings guests can relax and be present in the moment with you as you tie the knot – plus you’ll get to see your guests’ faces rather than a load of phones pointing back at you!
As your wedding content creator, I will act as an additional member of your wedding media team. My role does not replace your professional photographer or videographer. Instead, it’s to work alongside them to ensure you don’t miss a single moment of your special day.
If you’re ready to have your day captured in an unscripted, authentic and natural way, so you can relax and enjoy yourself on your big day then get in touch.
The Wedit has been featured on The Metro, BBC, Daily Telegraph and Essex Live.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between a content creator and photographer/videographer?
As a content creator, I'm there to capture your day from another perspective - and I shoot everything on an iPhone. I take a mixture of photos and videos, but I mainly focus on little video clips which can be edited together into Reels. I provide you with all the raw content within 24 hours as well as creating any fun social media trending videos you might want to create!
Will you take photos as well as videos?
Yes, you will get a mixture of both however I prioritise shooting videos as my end goal is to create you gorgeous Reels. I find this works out best as I can then take screen grabs if you wanted anything as a still image, but I’d much rather you were able to watch the raw moment back. This includes with the ambient audio. Plus, your professional photographer will be providing you a beautiful gallery!
Do you shoot in landscape mode too?
I shoot in portrait mode (16:9) as that’s the format favoured by social media platforms. Occasionally I flip to landscape depending on the scene (e.g. a large group shot) but for wide angles, your photographer/videographer will have you covered.
Do you film the ceremony/speeches?
Yes, but as a wedding content creator, I am there to capture snippets, clips, or moments of your day as opposed to long runs of video. If you want your ceremony/speeches to be filmed in one full take and with high quality audio, I recommend booking a videographer.
When will I receive my content?
All raw content, i.e. my camera roll, will be sent to you within 24 hours of your wedding. Any edited videos will be ready over the days following your wedding, usually within the next week or two.
