About Tythe
The Tythe Barn is an award-winning wedding venue in Oxfordshire, comprising a cluster of beautifully restored barns alongside a 17th century boutique Farmhouse. Tythe is one of the most impressive wedding barns in the country: elegantly rural, undeniably fun, this exclusive estate is set on the working farm of the Deeley family in rural Bicester.
Relaxed and informal, yet well-known for its incredible attention to detail. This charming venue brings together the beautifully restored thatched Tythe Barn (dating back to 1370), adjoining Cowshed with its old terracotta roof, luxury dressing room (fondly referred to as The Nook), the stunning interior-designed Manor Farmhouse offering seven double en-suite bedrooms and the cosy Shepherd’s Hut which sleeps an additional two.
Tythe can be hired exclusively for two nights and offers everything on site: licensed for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies with the flexibility to adapt to both small or larger wedding parties, dedicated rooms for the groom and the bride to get ready in and accommodation for 16 guests – including tea and cake and a farmhouse supper for residents as well as breakfast on both mornings.

The response I have got from everyone who attended was it was the best wedding they have ever been to. From the wow factor of the barn itself, the surroundings, the nearby church, the food and drink, it comes together perfectly. We have been told that if Disney were to make the idyllic wedding venue…this would be it. The staff including Tori and Joe on the lead up and day were just incredible and they are both friendly and professional people who make your wedding day so enjoyable. The whole team at The Tythe Barn are amazing. They are kind, accommodating and are experts in Weddings. The whole process from start to finish was amazing. Our wedding day was the best day of our whole lives and so much of that was down to all the staff. The Tythe Barn is such a special, special venue and everyone was blown away by it. The grounds are stunning, it makes for such a beautiful, romantic ceremony and turns into an incredible nightclub in the evening! You get the best of everything at Tythe. Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have accommodation onsite?
Yes we have our beautiful Farmhouse just a stones throw from the barn. The Farmhouse offers seven double bedrooms including a Bridal Suite, two large reception rooms, a dining room, country kitchen, open fires, a tennis court, a wonderful wood-fuelled hot tub and there’s an adjacent Shepherd’s Hut with sleeping for two – all right next door to the Tythe Barn.
Can we have an extension at the end of the night?
For a Friday and Saturday we end at midnight and we can extend to 12.30am or 1am for an additional cost. No live music after midnight but a DJ (from Gigs Management) or a playlist can be played. For a Monday to Thursday we end at 11.30pm and we can extend to midnight for an additional cost.
Do you offer corkage?
We do offer a no fee corkage option for drinks during the pre-ceremony, reception, wedding breakfast and speeches part of the day. Please contact the office for more information.
Can we bring our dog to the wedding ceremony?
Yes absolutely, we are a working farm and the owners have two dogs themselves on-site. Once the wedding breakfast has been served however, we do ask for the dog to leave the premises.
Can we bring our own DJ?
We have our own entertainment supplier, Gigz Management, who provide a selection of highly talented DJ's as well as a variety of stylish bands, however you are able to bring your own band. Certain restrictions apply - please contact the office for more details.
