I've been SO looking forward to featuring this most wonderful set of photographs.
This is one of those celebratory 'Trash The Dress' shoots that just screams 'fun love and laughter!' :) Newlywed Bride Lisa and her Husband Jon are Love My Dress familiars - their simply stunning wedding featured on the Blog previously (see Part1 and Part 2) and we've kept in touch ever since. Lisa told me at the time of featuring her wedding that she had a fantastic Trash the Dress shoot in the planning and so I was completely delighted when, a couple of weeks back, she revealed the photographs to me.
"We booked our 'Trash The Dress' photoshoot, even before the Wedding, but we knew we would have to wait for the English Weather to (hopefully) be kind to us as we didn’t get back from Honeymoon until the end of October which was too late for a beach shoot. We spent the next few months making regular trips to our location to find the exact spot for the shots we wanted.
We decided to go with Southend as it was local to us and had pretty much everything we wanted! We started in Thorpe Bay for the beach hut shots, then moved to Southend ‘Adventure Island’ for the amusement shots, finishing up in Leigh on Sea for the ‘Sea’ shots. We got some interesting looks as we picked one of the hottest days of July so the area/beach was packed!"

"As we walked onto the beach everyone clapped, assuming we had only just got married, and as I walked into the sea there was a collective gasp! VERY funny! We had a huge audience, and even Police (who had come to see what the commotion was) were stood watching us! We then went back to my parents house for the swimming pool shots. We thought it would be a nice way to round off the experience as our Wedding Reception was held in my parents back garden, so it was like going back to the start!
The day was SOOOO much fun, I cant tell you! I have never laughed like that! Especially when we were queuing up to get on the bumper cars – I don’t think they knew what had hit them! I was so thrilled my three Bridesmaids could make it along too, it made the day even more special for us.
I collected my dress from the dry cleaners this week and it looks brand new again – now I'm going to get it framed to hang at the top of our stairs. A perfect ending to a perfect Wedding."

Oh Lisa, Lisa, how I love this shot below.... you pretty lady you! :)
Thank you so much Lisa for sharing your excitement and story with Love My Dress readers :) You look absolutely bloomin' fantastic! Thanks also to Freeman Photographics for allowing reproduction of these images on Love My Dress.
You must also check out Jon's website as he is a Hatton Garden Diamond Merchant - so if you've any queries at all on that all-important engagement or wedding ring - drop him a line! You can read the Love My Dress feature on Jon Keith Diamonds here too.
Sometimes, you just don't get time to capture those photographs you always dreamed of, on your wedding day - that's why I love the concept of the post-wedding photoshoot :) Are you planning a Trash or Cherish the Dress Post Wedding photoshoot? Go on! Tell us your plans :)

I love these photos, amazing. You can tell they had such a laugh, as an Essex planner, who loves taking the kids to South End, I can just imagine the looks they got esp. with the bridesmaids on the fruit machine! They must have had such fun. I think the photos perfectly complement the more 'romantic' wedding photos.
Well done the the photographer who clearly was dedicated in getting the right shot.
