Film fans of Love My Dress might well recall this lovely little creation of a few weeks back, produced by 'The Big Day Productions'.  Today, I'm featuring Lydia and Chris's wedding photographs, courtesy of photographer Phil Drinkwater

Lydia and Chris's wedding took place on 4th May 2013 at Iscoyd Park near Whitchurch, a privately owned home on the border of North Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire.

"Our wedding day was everything I imagined and more.  It was
fantastic to see everything come together after months of planning and
only imagining how things may turn out on the day.

On the day all the planning and anticipation disappeared and the
most important moment was there, Chris waiting for me at the end of the
isle, the ceremony it's self was really special – I loved every minute, I
thought I may have had a few tears but I just couldn't stop smiling!"

"The reception at Iscoyd Park
created a wonderful atmosphere the gardens were beautiful and the sun
shone. The food was delicious, the marquee was transformed for the
evening with twinkly lights.

The dance floor was full and we boogied
the night away! It was really touching how many friends and family were
able to share our day, many of which had travelled afar from Egypt,
Canada and Australia."

"Chris and I met at a party on a December eve back in
2007 through a mutual friend. It was the most tingly Chris had ever felt
in front of a girl.
On our first date, I attempted to impress
Chris by balancing a spoon on the end of my nose.  Chris was instantly
charmed at the sight of such conjury – of course!

Chris
proposed whilst on holiday in Goa. Although he'd always planned to pop
the question someday, asking it whilst in Goa was a purely spare of the
moment thing – I guess he just felt that the timing and place was just
right to ask. He didn't even have a ring!  I wore a hair bobble on my
finger until we found a ring pretty enough to wear."

"My dress was a Claire Mischevani
design.  When I set out to find the prefect gown, I imagined something,
simple yet delicate and classic, My gown was a vintage inspired lace, a
line shaped gown with a pearl and crystal belt to accentuated the waist
line. The gown was accessorised with blue sapphire encrusted bracelet
which was passed down to me by my mum. Having the dress made, meant that
I could adapt it to suit my style and shape perfectly, for the evening
reception the French lace overlay was removed to reveal a duchess satin
gown with sweetheart neck line.

I knew when I tried on the designs by Claire Mischevani
that I had found my dream dress. Claire was so lovely from the moment I
met with her, visiting her boutique for the fittings was a joy, her
attention to detail is faultless, Claire ensured that everything for my
big day was perfect despite being in her latter stages of pregnancy!"

"After much searching for our perfect wedding venue, we found Iscoyd Park,
we think its a real gem! It has been lovingly restored by it's current
owners and was hired exclusively which made us feel really relaxed,
iscoyd doesn't have a package feel like some venues and provided us the
opportunity to create our own wedding vibe."

"I had a full length veil that covered my dress trail, it had
delicate embroidery flowers and a touch of sparkle, which added some
extra sparkle and made me feel like a true bride.

I wore a 'Kirsty' vintage style side headband, detailing small vintage diamante stones and freshwater pearls, designed by Rocks for Frocks in Liverpool."

"I really wanted my maids to have a dress that they felt special
in and something that complimented my gown but had a style of its own.
After searching different designers, I chose a gown by True Bride in Celadon.
I was thrilled with the colour having chosen it from a small sample
upon ordering, it complimented the accent colour of burgundy, which was
worn with the men's suits.

The style of the dress meant that it was
flattering for all my maids, the brooch detail added a hint of vintage,
and the dress was accessorised with pearl and crystal neckless and
bracelet."

"I chose a local florist 'flowerscape', pam the florist was really
helpful in assisting me to select something delicate and natural, i
really liked the contrast of the larger hydrangea and more subtle roses
which were arranged in cream jugs and used as centre-pieces for the
tables, they looked great against the bunting in the marquee.

For the
bouquets I chose a mix of hydrangea, Peony, roses and freesias, they
smelt beautiful and the colours were selected to compliment the maids
and accent colour worn by the groomsmen, the bridal bouquet even
survived 'the throw'!"

"Our wedding invitations, order of service, place names/favours and table names were designed by Lucie Harley from 'To Have & To Hold'
Lucie was fantastic, she listened to some of my ideas and captured them
beautifully, her natural flare and attention to detail really added to
the theme of the day.  Lucie used a combination of print and handmade
designs to create a vintage theme."

"Our photographer was Phil Drinkwater
We met with Phil on the recommendation of a friend, from the initial
meeting, Phil's professionalism and passion for wedding photography
shone through.

I'm so glad that we chose Phil to photograph our wedding –
he was so relaxed and informal with us and our guests, my self and
Chris really enjoyed our couple shots and it felt really natural, Phil
has a real talent for capturing the moment in a beautiful way, he worked
really well alongside

The Big Day Productions too, who were there to film our wedding."

"I was lucky enough to have two hair stylists on the day, which
was fantastic to assist with the timings. Anna (mobile hair stylist),
styled some beautiful side buns for my maids, which complemented the
style of their dresses perfectly. My hair was styled by Hayley of Headmasters
in Wellington. Hayley was fantastic and completely understood the look I
was after, I showed her some pictures of ideas and she captured it
beautifully.

The make up was a last minute decision and I was so lucky to find Helena of Seven Studios ,
Shrewsbury. Helena has a really lovely nature and was so calming on the
morning of the wedding. Helena created a natural look, using MAC
products, which provided a lasting finish."

"Our wedding ceremony took place at All Saints Church in the village
of Baschurch where my parents live, and where I grew up. My
grandparents married here in September 1941, and my brother, sister, and
Nephew were all christened here too."

"Chris wore a 3 piece suit by Ben Sherman,
which he purchased from the trafford center.he wanted something classic
but not typical of wedding morning suits, he had a particular vision
for a distinct blue and finished it off with a maroon tie.  His shoes
wer by Bertie.   I purchased a vintage pocket watch for Chris as a gift on the morning of the wedding which was engraved."

"We decided on some last minute touches including replacing one
of hymns with all you need is love by the beetles, which the vicar led
on his guitar! And for one of our readings to be the lyrics of
mirrorball by elbow, both of which made our service really personal and
something we will cherish for years to come"

"We had canapés on arrival from Rupert Frazer Worden (the
mini all day breakfast canapés were a favourite amount our guests),
followed by a three course wedding breakfast, the food was delicious and
the service faultless.
For the evening we had a hog roast from Maynards Farm, which was fantastic and yummy – guests definitely went home satisfied."

"I really enjoyed sourcing items to decorate Iscoyd Park
and spent months trawling through car boot sales and found some real
gems – I collected tea cups which I made into candles, which formed part
of the table decorations. Scraps of material which I made into bunting
and a type writer which guests used to type guest messages."
