Brides The Show, 2-4 October 2015: From Cakes To Venues & Everything In Between

I don’t know about you but I’ve got a sneaking feeling that we might well have seen the end of summer. Darkness is arriving earlier every evening and on my daily dog walk, I’m seeing trees full of berries and increasingly golden leaves. However, the prospect of impending autumn isn’t getting me down at all as for months now, I’ve had 2-4 October marked in my diary because that’s when Brides The Show returns to London and the doors open to bridal heaven.

In a previous feature, I got rather excited telling you all about the amazing bridal designers and weddings dresses that are going to be at Brides The Show in October. Today, I’m going to highlight the brilliant suppliers that you can meet at the show and trust me when I tell you, whatever you’ve got on your wedding to-do list, it can be ticked off with a smile at Brides The Show.

Starting right at the beginning of your wedding planning journey, there are an array of venues waiting to meet you. From Blenheim Palace and Amberley Castle to Kew Gardens and the teams from Harrow School and Handpicked Hotels (among many others), there will be experts on hand to help and advise.

If you’re looking for a wedding planner or stylist, then definitely swing by the stands of By Appointment Only Design, I Do Knot and the lovely Revival Rooms. From there, with your wedding vision firmly in mind, there are florists aplenty to visit including the wonderful Mary Jane Vaughan, Ricky Paul Flowers, Zita Elze and Hiding In The City who I’m certainly looking forward to.

I know from talking to many many couples that wedding photography is always a huge priority and Brides The Show will be welcoming, among others, Lisa Gill, Paul Read and Matilda Rose. All of the photographers exhibiting will, I am sure, have stands full of images that take your breath away.

Obviously, a wedding is made extra special by your guests so why not send them invitations that are something special too? Eagle Eyed Bride, Piccolo Press, Five Dollar Shake, Chelsea Fine Stationery and Caxton London are some of the stationers who’ll be displaying their latest collections at Brides The Show and every style will be on show.

Also on show will be a mouthwatering array of wedding cakes and wedding day food. Caterers Ginger Jar and Stones Events will be there to talk you through their latest menus and Daisy Cakes, Pretty Gorgeous Cakes and Victoria Made will be among those tempting you with baked delights.

You’re also spoilt for choice if you’re looking for a honeymoon, band, DJ or entertainer and, if you’re bringing your Mum along, there are Mother of the Bride collections to view as well. I also need to mention The Wedding Tree (creators of fab, unique wedding guest books), Patchwork Present (truly out of this world honeymoons with a company ethos I just adore) and the out-of-this-world Bubblegum Balloons.

I’m feeling a little out-of-breath after that whistle-stop tour through the delights that await you at Brides The Show and I still don’t feel that I’ve even scratched the surface. Happily, I’ll be back again in September with my ultimate pre-show guide so I promise you, you won’t miss a thing!
