Hello hello and happy Saturday! Can you believe that we’re almost at the end of the January? This year is speeding on by already! Anyway, I’m here today to tell you a little bit about what is, quite frankly, one of London’s hidden wedding gems – the Bingham. This gorgeous boutique hotel is just out of this world (and I speak from personal experience – take a look at my review of my stay here) and, most importantly, it’s a truly delightful wedding venue. So, read on to find out more about this Thames-side retreat AND their forthcoming open day…
There’s no doubting the fact that choosing the perfect wedding venue is one of the most important (and one of the trickiest!) elements of wedding planning. What makes the Bingham so fantastic is the fact that it ticks so many of the boxes on your wedding wish list and it does so in fine style.
With its superb location, right on the river on the very fringes of the capital, it combines a brilliant London vibe with that dreamy feeling of having escaped from the hustle and bustle and its welcoming and friendly yet special and memorable.the Bingham is simply heaven.
Originally built as two Georgian houses, the Bingham has recently been extensively and sensitively renovated so whilst you can luxuriate with ‘all mod cons’, you also get a sense of the history of the building and its romantic past – the fifteen bedrooms are named after the works of poets who lived there in years gone by.
And with the Bingham’s legendary love of weddings, you can really create the day that tells your story perfectly. the flexible Garden Rooms can be configured in so many different ways and can accommodate up to 90-seated guests (or 150 standing) as well as more intimate affairs. Here, you’ll have super views over the pretty gardens and onto the river and with your own private entrance, you’ll be utterly undisturbed. Of course, for the ultimate in privacy, you can indulge with Bingham Privé, exclusive hire of the entire hotel and grounds.
As if that wasn’t enough, let me tell you that the food at the Bingham is an absolute joy and with Head Chef Andrew Cole designing delicious seasonal menus using the finest local, seasonal and sustainable produce, your guests will be in foodie paradise. You’ll also have the assistance of the hotel’s Sommelier to help you select the best wines to match your menu and I promise you that the cocktails at the Bingham are yet another highlight!
The famous poet W.B Yeats, once a visitor to the house, wrote “the world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” How he would have loved the feast for the senses that would greet him at The Bingham today. It is, indeed, a magical venue for a wedding.
