Real Wedding Film: Lizzie and Liam

Screen Shot 2016 08 05 at 10.42.23

Happy Friday wedding film lovers, I hope this gorgeous little film of newlyweds Lizzie and Liam puts a smile on your face this lunchtime.  This film was created by wedding film makers Shutterbox Films and I love it so – it’s such a perfect 2 minutes of viewing that captures all the wonderful, heartfelt joy and emotion you might imagine will be present on your own wedding day. Ladies, I really hope this fills you with excitement about what’s to come. Enjoy…

“We sought out ‘real’ suppliers who truly cared about their work and would naturally bypass the hype surrounding weddings to focus on the reality – the real love – whatever that might be to each couple. We got married at Narborough Hall Gardens in Norfolk. Everything about Narborough felt right; the staff were so accommodating, the beautiful gardens felt magical the moment you stepped into them and Joanne the owner put us at ease immediately. As for my dress – I picked the only one I had tried on that felt like ‘me’ – a silky Temperley dress, classic and understated but – yet it glittered with embellishment as I spun around.

I’d never thought I’d be a very good bride; I wasn’t at all traditional, had never planned what my wedding would be like in my head or even had any idea what type of wedding I wanted. In fact, when Liam proposed to me with the most beautiful Art Deco engagement ring on my birthday in Manchester (where we’d first met, nine years ago) I only knew that I wanted him – and we both agreed that if we were to have a wedding at all, it absolutely had to be real and reflect us.” (Lizzie, bride)

“We fell in love with the work of Lee and Dawn of Shutterbox Films instantly. They shoot real and utterly beautifully – nothing posed or fake, just ‘as-it-happens’ emotion  caught perfectly on film.

We hadn’t originally budgeted for a wedding videographer and a photographer, however we are so glad we could make it happen and that we chose Shutterbox Films to shoot our day. It remains the best decision we made for our wedding overall.

There is something so tangible watching us and all the people we love captured at that particular point in time. On the day, Lee felt like another guest in our small but close-knit wedding party – he fit in so well that we barely noticed him and yet, he managed to capture mine and Liam’s love perfectly as if he’d known us for much longer.

We will always treasure our film. Seeing  our friends and family’s expressions – seeing our own expressions – brings everything we loved about our day back to us immediately. It reminds us about what we are about, what is important to us;  that first ceremony kiss, spontaneous dancing in the gardens and that moment of pure happiness as Liam and I walked into our dining room greeted by cheers and a sea of faces we loved. So many perfect moments and memories saved from fading over time. And I will be forever grateful to Lee and Shutterbox Films for that.”

  1. So lovely… I have to confess I usually save watching wedding films for when I’m at home (rather than in the office or travelling) as they almost always mean that dust gets in my eyes… Another beauty from Shutterbox- congratulations Lizzie and Liam x
