Chateau Robernier, a fairytale French chateau in the heart of Provence, set the scene for Sophie and Hayden’s effortlessly elegant and modern destination wedding on 26th June 2024.
The couple chose this beautifully restored 17th-century estate for its romantic setting, warm climate and ability to host their guests in one unforgettable location. Working with Victoria Seithel Events, they brought their vision to life with neutral tones, natural textures and refined modern details.
Capturing every moment with their signature blend of emotion and artistry were SL Photo & Film – destination wedding photographers and videographers we’re delighted to recommend through Love My Dress.
From ceremony to champagne tower, this Provence wedding is full of beautiful inspiration for couples planning their own relaxed and elegant French chateau celebration. Be sure to explore our other beautiful French chateau weddings after this one!
A Few Favourite Vendors
Explore our Wedding Directory and discover amazing talent.
We worked with Victoria Seithel Events to source our venue. The only criteria we asked for was that it was in a warm country, that it could host the majority of our guests, and that it was beautiful. When Victoria presented Chateau Robernier to us, we knew it was the one!

The Dress
Brand here
Velvet Queen in Portsmouth designed my dress. I had a great experience with them! I couldn’t find my perfect dress, so I asked them to design it. It was a lovely shop, and Nicola, the designer and owner is so helpful and sweet.

I’m 5ft 3 inches, so I knew a big dress would swamp me. Also due to it being 30 degrees, I knew I didn’t want a heavy dress that would make me really hot.

The suit had to be thin and breathable for the same reason. I loved my veil as it was my ‘something borrowed’ off of my best friend, who was also our celebrant!
The suits were from Woody’s Boutique in Brighton and they were really helpful.

The Ceremony
My dad accompanied me down the aisle, and my maid of honour, Ruby, officiated our ceremony.
Carly, sister of the Groom, read out a poem. We chose these because the words were meaningful to our family, especially Hayden’s dad who had passed away.
We wrote our own vows, and Hayden could barely get through them! They were funny, loving and sacrificial. They had all our guests laughing and crying happy tears!
Photography
Our photographers were Valentina and Daniele of SL Photo & Film.
They are the loveliest couple for our film and photo! They were so sweet and easy to work with. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. They listened to what we wanted and have perfect instruction whilst subtly melting into the background when needed.

The Reception
The natural greenery throughout the Chateau provided the perfect backdrop. We used sage table runners, greenery garlands, sage napkins and ivory candles, upon our rustic trestle tables, with wooden cross back chairs. Our wedding planner designed and created floral meadows for the ceremony which were then repurposed on the bar for the evening.
For favours, we purchased mini suitcases which also doubled as placecards. Our wedding planner provided strawberry bonbons for inside the suitcases. Our stationery was by Smith & Co Designs.
All the florals (bouquets, meadows and greenery garlands) were designed, created and provided by Victoria, our planner.
Instead of a cake, we had a champagne tower.
