For brides who love the beautiful, grainy texture of analogue film photography, romantic bridal fashion and flowers with a natural, garden-gathered feel, this beautiful bridal editorial at Forcett Hall Estate in North Yorkshire offers inspiration in abundance.

Photographed by Fiona Lewis Photography, one of our recommended wedding photographers, the shoot features two gorgeous bridal gowns by Moira Hughes and Kyha Bride, supplied by LV Bridal Studio, with beautiful natural light and the grain of film adding another dimension to the photographs.

The creative team also wanted to challenge the idea that a grand wedding venue requires an equally grand styling budget. Working with predominantly British-grown flowers by Wild Sweet Pea, handmade stationery and smaller floral arrangements, they’ve created something that offers practical inspiration for couples who want beautiful details without the expense of large-scale installations.

The team explain their approach in their own words below.

The vision for our shoot was a relaxed, whimsical bridal editorial focusing on wild femininity, softness and texture.

Rather than the statement installations so often seen in luxury venues like Forcett Hall Estate, this editorial showcases the smaller, delicate elements across a wedding day which create such a beautiful aesthetic when they’re brought together. Not every couple has the budget to dress every space extravagantly, and we wanted to show an alternative that can be just as captivating.

We focused on creating a handful of smaller, more considered moments throughout the day, combined with thoughtful details such as handmade stationery by Billy & Fig, which carried through from the bridal suite to the cocktail bar.

The flowers and foliage by Wild Sweet Pea were almost entirely British grown, chosen for their seasonal hues, imperfect wildness and the natural movement they bring to each arrangement.

The bridal styling followed the same romantic, considered approach, with two gowns from LV Bridal Studio selected for their beautifully feminine silhouettes and contrasting textures. The first, the Charlie dress by Moira Hughes in satin-fronted taffeta, was paired with a double tier veil, while the second, the Gibson lace dress by Kyha Bride, was finished with a lace neck scarf.

Soft, swept-back hair and natural makeup by Eleanor Jayne Makeup Artistry, alongside delicate gold jewellery from Harrogate Jewellers, completed the styling for a modern, elegant feel.
