Ouma Clothing – An Enchanting Etsy Store…

I have been following Ouma Clothing for a  a few months now.  Ouma is one of the very first Etsy shops I fell in love with and one of the first brands that caught my eye when I started writing Love My Dress.  I love Ouma's Retro style, French stripes, and the layer upon layer upon layer of dreamy tulle.

The designer behind Ouma is Monique Martinez – who welcomes you to her Etsy store as follows…"Here I hope you find a dress that brings out the twirling princess in you. Most of my designs are made out of layers upon layers of lovely tulle, comfy cotton and love. They are also custom made-to-order so you can have it created as you please."

I ADORE the photograph below; the pastel colours, the vintage photo booth, the hair in a ballet-bun, the super sexy lashes – and that 'Striped Carnival Party Dress'!  Not a traditionally 'weddingy' design, but anything goes these days, and this creation is beautiful and whimsical and dreamy all wrapped up in a layer of tulle goodness that I'm pretty darn sure many Bride's would delight in wearing on their big day.  And besides, Ouma can create a CUSTOM design just for you – so if you really love the idea of some fairytale tulle on your wedding day, but didn't quite fancy the French stripes – you could commission an Ouma creation to suit your exact needs.  Perfectamundo….

'This lovely little number is a tulle dress designed for a queen. It's absolutely charming with it's puffy skirt composed from nylon tulle. The top is made from striped cotton, making this design so easy to wear. Enchanting and practical!'

Ouma is described as '…a casual meeting of the classics, whilst being accompanied by a funky, feminine friend, looking out of the window, at the most whimsical of details – all whilst breathing easy….'

The dress below is called the 'Blushing in Pink' dress and is one of my favourite Ouma designs.  What an utterly beautiful wedding gown this would make.  The fabric for this gown is hand dyed with a mixture of champagne and rose to achieve a special shade of pink {there are several shades of pink to choose from}. This gown also features a sweetheart cross over bodice, floor length tulle skirt and a beautiful sash which ties into a nice bow in the back.

Heavenly….
