Morning everyone :) So sorry I didn't get the chance to post a real wedding yesterday. I think that blogs and babies were colluding against me to prevent me from bringing you this latest beautiful feature when I had intended, but that's OK, because it means this morning is looking ALL the prettier on the blog for it 🙂
This is the wedding of Shirley & Stuart who got married on 24 September at Anne of Cleaves house in Lewes, East sussex – a venue chosen by the couple for it's sense of intimacy and because it holds special memories for them both. The evening reception followed at The Ginger Pig, Hove – a regular haunt for this Bride and Groom.
I love this wedding for the gorgeous vintage style photography and because Shirley's style really appealed to me; from her glittery heels to her vintage style headpiece, the relaxed and fun nature of the day and of course, for the seaside location (I got married in Whitby!); it was obvious to me from the of that this wedding would make a super real wedding feature on Love My Dress – and thanks go to the incredibly talented lady and Wedding Photographer of the Year Award Winner, Lisa Devlin for this submission.
Enjoy 🙂 …

Shirley's dress and headpiece were from Gio Bridal in Reading, Berkshire {at the time of writing this feature, the Gio Bridal website appears to be incomplete}…
"It just felt right !! A little bit of glitter but not to much, just enough Princess for me!"
Shirley's amazing sparkly heels were from ASOS.com. If my 5 year old Daughter could see these, she would probably faint with delight!! 🙂
Shirley hired Make up Artist Donna Penn…
What a beuatiful bouquet, really vibrant blue. Flowers were by 'Planted' of St James Street in Brighton…
…and a pretty wrist corsage for a beautiful Bride in blue 🙂
Stuart sore a Hugo Morris Bespoke Tailors suit…
What a super FABulous photograph! Love how Lisa has captured Shirley looking so beautifully natural in this image – laughter is good for the soul you know – I could look at photographs of people laughing all day long 😉 …
Make sure you talk to your Wedding Photographer about the little shots like this that capture the special moments between you and your Bride and/or Groom – they are the photographs that will bring tears to your eyes when you look through your album after the wedding :
A couple looking ridiculously happy on their wedding day. Just as it should be 🙂
At the time of writing this feature, I don't have any details for this fabulous cake maker! I am seeking them on your behalf however and will post them soon 🙂
Words of Wedded Wisdom?
"Enjoy the planning together, Its only stressful if you let it be…"
What a beautiful photograph to finish on. Brighton and Suxxex Photorapher Lisa Devlin has done an amazing job in capturing a couple in love, and having fun on their special day – thank you so much Lisa for allowing me to share this lovely set of photographs with my readers, and huge thanks too to the Bride Shirley for sharing her style 🙂
