I have something very special up my sleeve. Oh yes I do. It is requiering a lot of energy and commitment right now, so for today, I'm handing over my blogging responsibilities to two brilliant people. The first was Michelle Kelly of Pocket Full of Dreams, a hugely talented new Wedding and Event Planner and Stylist on the UK wedding scene {Michelle recently interviewed me here by the way!}
This afternoon, I'm passing over to Helena Heavenly Vintage Brides.

I wanted to do a very glamorous set of images to 'show case' some of my new dresses and some favourites. So, I put my lovely models in romantic dresses from different eras, and I used some great headdresses to help style this photoshoot, made for me by Abby and Debbie at Cherished Vintage using vintage jewellery, and a wonderful dramatic feather headpiece which Helena at HT Headwear made especially for my shoot.
Sizing is a bit of a nebulous affair with Vintage because none of them conform to standard sizes, but fortunately, I have a great dressmaker who does alterations for my clients and she can often make them a little bigger or smaller to suit my clients figures.
This first dress below is a wonderful 1930's chiffon overdress with a slip underneath the dress has a long train with silk appliques , it is as light as air to wear , a size 6/8 ( one of my smallest dresses) and costs £1350….

The second dress is 1940's lace wedding dress with a lace train and subtle sparkly detail on the bodice, approx a UK size 8, value £950 ( including a petticoat).
It has such a lovely bodice which is so flattering; one of the things that really attracts me to vintage is the fact that these dresses were so well made, and generally speaking so light and comfortable to wear.
The gorgeous headband is by Cherished Vintage…
The next dress is one of my oldest – Edwardian cotton lace with a silky slip underneath, the cost is £1200, the lace is in wonderful condition for a dress of this age, again using a headband by Cherished Vintage…
This one is from the 1930's; a decade I love, in a lovely high quality satin, with tiny mother of pearl buttons down the back and some lovely detail on the neckline, all those tiny little seams to give a "sun-ray ' effect on the neckline.
This is such a dainty dress size 8/10 and £1500. The feather headpiece is by Helena at HT Headwear…
This dress is so feminine and pretty – a 1950's tea-length wedding dress at the front and longer at the back, with loads of layers of petticoats, It is so Audrey Hepburn, a look I get asked for so much, and it's a fabulous example of that style.
This particular vintage wedding dress is a UK size 8 and costs £900…
Lastly I wanted to show you another glamourous 1930's wedding dress, with a sweet belt at the back and a simple but extremely elegant feel, size is 10/12 and cost is £800.
The same lovely headpiece as before by HT Headwear...
