Nothing like starting the morning off with a Gumball for breakfast…! 🙂
I recently connected with Utah Photographer Lyndsey Fagerlund {all hail the wonder that is Twitter!} and on examining her blog and website for inspiration, came across these images with screamed a big sweet dose of retro fun! I love the 60's styling {the hair, the makeup) and that fabulous original vintage 1960s wedding dress. The dress was actually made by model Jalene's Mum, who wore it on her 1964 wedding day – how fabulous is that?
Lyndsey tells me how this colourful shoot came about 🙂
"The inspiration was from this Gumball Children's Party shoot that I photographed for my friend Kara Allen – I knew I had to photograph a bride with the gumball theme, so I involved some fab vendors, and we had a great time bringing my vision to reality.
The bouquet was made up of red roses and spray roses, adorned with gumballs threaded with decorative aluminum wire with a pixie dust sprinkling of iridescent glitter.
They went for a do that would accentuate the dress and I think they nailed it! For makeup, they added what they called "Megan Fox eyes" for a more modern look.
I wanted a retro, fun look to the images, and Mini's was the perfect spot!"
