Vintage Weddings ~ A New Coffee Table Book Documenting 100 Years of Bridal Fashion and Style…

I thought I'd share a little good news with you today  🙂

I found out today that a new book called Vintage Weddingsirtlomydr 21amplas2ampo2ampa1847327710, by Marnie Fogg, lists Love My Dress under it's recommened 'Blogs and Articles' section. Huge thanks to the delightful Janey Butler of Sweet Days and Roses for bringing this to my attention.

This beautiful new hard-back coffee table book, which includes a forward by Bruce Oldfield, is available for purchase via Amazon and from what I hear, is a beautiful visual journey through a century of era-inspired weddings.  You can read an online review of the Vintage Weddings book, by Brides Magazine here.

I ordered my copy this morning and am really looking forward to it getting here so I can plough through pages of gorgeous images.  You can buy your own copy of the book online here, but hurry, as numbers are limited.

I'm also chuffed to bits that my fellow UK Wedding Blogger Little Miss Wedding is mentioned, alongside the US based Ruffled Blog.

I also have a happy smile on my face that the Catherine Westwood, the Editor of Wedding Magazine, has chosen to highlight my blog under the 'Blog Spot' feature on her Editor's page in the June/July 2011 issue of the magazine, now available in all W.H.Smiths…

Forgive me for the slightly dodgy scan! Those photographs of me below by the way were taken by my friend Sassy of Assassynation Photography, who is currently offering all Love My Dress Readers 25% off their wedding photography. Find out more here.

The piece reads as follows:-

"Wedding Bloggers are beginning to step out of the one-dimensional world of the Internet and into the real world of bridal shows.  Pictured right is Annabel Beeforth from www.lovemydress.net, who is seen here at the Designer Vintage Bridal Show, at Birmingham, alongisde her display of all things lovely that represent her blog.  I first met her around a year ago when she attended a Wedding Reader event at Claridges, and I'm delighted to see her website has flourished over the past year, making it one of our must-visit destinations."

Wedding Magazine also have a feature on pages 151-152 of their latest issue that I blogged about here, that highlights the UK's top Wedding Bloggers, and last week listed me as their Blog of the Week.

Thank you also to Hitched Magazine {The Wedding Magazine for the North East} who run a feature on Love My Dress and Brides Up North  in their latest issue {Issue 4, Spring 2011}.

I just wanted to share these things with you today, as I'm super busy working on the Love My Dress Soiree, so I'll see you back here tomorrow morning 🙂

Much love,

Annabel xXx
