There's some debate within blogging circles as to whether inspiration shoots really serve their purpose with blog readers – and that will be predominantly Brides {70% of my readers are Brides}. Brides want to be able to connect with the content they view and read about on Love My Dress – the 'inspiration' shoots need to do just that – inspire and be obtainable, without offering fantasy, fashion led images that are simply beyond the scope of replication in any kind of real world sense.
I would hope that all the inspiration shoots I feature are 'real' enough for my readers, even if they are based on a dream, like the photoshoot I'm going to share with you now. This shoot was inspired by Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', and it is full of summer, outdoorsy style wedding day inspiration. I love to share images like this with my readers as I want to encourage Brides to think outside of the box when it comes to styling a wedding.
This photoshoot appears in two parts, in indoor shoot and an outdoor shoot. Both offer whimsical inspiration – perfect for the Bride keen to explore a more 'earthy', natural wedding day style, yet one that is still fun, glamorous and will turn heads. It is probably the flowers, styled by Laura Hingston Flowers, that have grabbed most of my attention in this shoot, I just adore them! Foxgloves in a bridal bouquet. Who knew?

I love the classy halternec style gown by Kate Walker Bridal – absolutely perfect with the slightly backcombed, bouiffant hair and 70'st style hairband {don't you know 70's are all the rage right now? And if you don't, see my 'White Gallery' feature in this month's edition of Wedding Magazine!}…
Now our party moves outside and we really get to have some fun with the outdoor decor inspiration…
How cute are these little fairies? 🙂
