Morning peeps:) I hope this blog posts finds you feeling bright and shiney on this Monday morning. What did you get up to this weekend? I had a wonderful weekend away with my family and loved every second of it. I feel recharged and ready for my week ahead! 😉

Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to be introducing you to some of my Sponsors – the people who if it wasn’t for their support and belief in my blog, I would not be here. To start off, and in honour of the beautiful area I live in and have done for the past 8 years, today I’d like to introduce you to Alison Groves of Alison Groves Photography. Alison is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne but regularly travels the length and breadth of the UK to provide wedding photography services for her clients…

“I am Ali Groves, mum, friend, business woman, photographer of people and their happy times!

I am a wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer.  My business is based on customer service and giving the client a great experience from start to finish.

I am based in Newcastle upon Tyne, but travel all over for shoots & weddings….”

“I was so unhappy in my former job (I used to be a Town Planner!) and started to look at things I enjoyed and thought I was good at, to see if i could do any of those for a living.  I got my first camera when I was 11 and have annoyed people ever since by wanting to take their photographs – now I get paid to do what I love!

I enrolled on the Bespoke Course at what is now Aspire, and before I had finished the course had shot my first 3 weddings.  I left my old job the week I completed the training, as I already had a full diary of weddings booked in for the coming year…”

Alison’s signature style is relaxed and very natural – she understands that you want your wedding photographs to be perfect and she will work with you to create a set of beautiful, expressive images, that will tell your story and capture the atmosphere of your day – exactly as you planned it.

She has a precise, but discreet style that allows her to record poignant moments, and works swiftly so you have plenty of time to mingle, relax and celebrate with the people that matter most…

“For me its all about the emotion – its hard to bottle that – and hard to remember once the moment has passed, so thats what I try to capture as a lasting memory for the couple.  I also love shooting all the details – brides spend a really long time organising all the little extra details that make the day special, so its important to record those.  I think of my albums as heirloom pieces, and imagine them being looked at in generations to come, so the images need to capture the personality of the couple, and the style of their wedding day…”

Win a £400 Photoshoot  and Signature Frame…

Alison is very kindly offering one couple a free ‘Beloved’ photoshoot and signature frame, valued at £400. If you are not familiar with the ‘Beloved’ movement, I urge you to visit this site, though, I’ll be writing about the concept very soon, as I am fascinated with it.  Pioneered by Jesh de Rox, The Beloved movement is all about helping a couple to ‘rediscover love’; to reconnect with the deep emotions and love they feel for one another and to feel relaxed sharing that love in front of the lens. Alison has undertaken a number of Beloved photoshoots and I’m thrilled to pieces that she is now offering the same opportunity for one of my readers.

“Out of all the suppliers on your wedding day, your photographer will be there the longest, so its important that you feel that you want that person there on your day.  A pre-wedding shoot or Beloved shoot is also a really good way of easing you, as a couple into the whole idea of being photographed together and caputuring real emotion, on your wedding day.

When I’m photography couples, I dont get stressed and can be a very calming influence.  Couples usually don’t want their pre-wedding shoot to end as they enjoy it so much!”
