Morning guys and gals! Now usually, I'd post a bridal inspiration board on a Friday morning, but yesterday was an exception, so today I'm sharing the latest installation from Michelle of Pocketful of Dreams. Enjoy peeps! 😉

Our summer fashion obsession was most definitely consumed by everything Seventies, but now it's time to go back a little further as this Autumn/Winter is all about the Sixties scene.
The Sixties has long influenced fashion, and bridal wear, but trust me it's about to be taken to a whole new level with everything from fashion to furnishings taking a sixties revival twist.
I am actually going to be giving you two sixties inspired looks – the first one being The Mod Squad.

This look is most definitely influenced by Mod culture, think of Twiggy and Mary Quant, styled in clean lines and bold graphical prints. The colour palette is a muted gold, more of a mustard than a bright yellow which when mixed with delicate ivory and greys or blacks creates such a statement…all you need to add is a vintage Vespa.

For the bridal look I'm giving you two dresses, who says you can't have two it is your wedding day after all?. The first a delicate lace shift-style wedding dress the Edith from the newYouthquake Collection by Tobi Hannah Bridal. I can see this looking just perfect with a pillbox hat (all the rage in the sixties you know), delicate lace gloves and a pair of mary-janes. Then of course once the dancing begins you need a hot party dress to swing the night away in, like thisGin Fizz Shift from BHLDN, the name alone is enough to make me want to but it.
Your bridesmaids will look super-hot in these Catherine tweed dresses from Monsoon (available from Sept), which can even be paired with tights if the wedding is in the colder months.
Of course the groomsmen should be donning their best sixties-style, single breasted suits, finished off with a de rigueur knitted tie.

The look is bold and graphic with sixties prints used across stationery and linens, while theflorals are kept simple in a colour palette of deep yellows, oranges and creamy whites.
A sixties-flower inspired cake sets the vibe perfectly, and why not consider building your own photobooth with a bold sixties style fabric as the backdrop.
All you need now is the help of your local Mod scooter club to get you to the church on time.
