Morning everyone 🙂 Hoping this finds you well. I predicted some time ago that thanks to the advent of wedding blogs and a huge amount of wedding-day inspiration at our keyboard-tappin' fingertips, that Brides would be inspired to be bolder, braver and experiment with more statement style headpieces. And I'm jolly pleased to say I wasn't wrong…

The floral headpiece has seen a real come back in the past 12 months. Once confined to the heads of 1980's Bride in all her frilly and pouffy Princess Diana-esque glory, the flower crown, or flower wreath headband is now gracing the pages of many of the most stylish wedding blogs and glossy wedding magazines thanks more lately to resurgence of all things 70's and bohemian, but with credit too, to the DIY Bride movement as well as our love for all things a little 'rustic'.
There are many suppliers out there on the interweb who specialise in crafting handmade floral headpieces, take Whichgoose, Ban.do and the designers that can be found over at Etsy for example. However, I'm seeing more Brides consult with their Florist to fashion a floral fancy to wear on their heads. Bride Vikki is a perfect example {see 8 below} – she bravely pulled off a Frida Kahlo inspired statement floral headpiece on her wedding day. Talk about 'Wow!'…

Simply gorgeous each and every one of them. You see, you can get away with pretty much anything when it comes to flowers in your hair. You can go all out.
The flower wreath, or flower crown is becoming an ever more popular choice with Brides but there are many other different ways you can incoporate flowers in to our hair on your wedding day. Get creative – put your Florist in touch with your hairdresser and see what floral magic they can pull off {see 9 above}.
I just loved how BHLDN paired this fancy silk petal headband by Ban.Do. with this stunning yet unfussy wedding dress. The two differnet styles compliment each other wonderfully. Bear this in mind when choosing your headpiece. Overfussy dresses that are already heavily embellished or big on detail are probably best not to be outshone by a huge statement headpiece…
Don't be shy when it comes to your floral headpiece. In the same way every other aspect of your wedding should be about you not what others thing it should be – your headpiece should be just how you want it, chic and subtle or huge, oversized and colourful…
