What’s on your ‘Christmas Wish List’?

Happy Sunday everyone! I really hope this blog post finds you well on this fine and beautiful Sunday lunch time.  I thought it would be fun today to share some of what's on our Christmas wish lists.  I am so into the whole Christmas spirit  much earlier than I usually would be this year – I usually write off Christmas until at least mid December but I can't get enough of it right now and I'm about to inform the Husband we're off to get the Christmas tree this next week! 😉

So, I'm going to invite you all to leave a comment to say what's on your wish list for Father Christmas this year, and I thought I'd kick start by sharing  a little of what's on my own.

First of all, what girl doesn't like a bit of jewellery on her Birthday or at Christmas? I honestly wouldn't know where to start there are so many beautiful accessories out there at the moment, but this gorgeous vintage treasure necklace by Magpie Vintage really popped off the page at me this morning as I was doing some research – I just absolutely adore those delicate flowers colours and are a timeless piece of jewellery that work for me every time.

I don't care if this makes me a Granny, I love my slippers!! …and these cute hand knitted pair with bows from Etsy are so cute! Perfect for popping in to keep my tootsies warm as I blog late at night.  And what about that gorgeous rustic brown iPad case? Tres stylish non?

I have promised myself that 2012 will be the year I hone my very beginner photography skills, and before I make the jump to purchasing a more expensive bit of camera kit, I want to try playing with this Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens {as recommended to me by Mrs Laura Lawson – thank you Laura!}.

For Me copy

{1} Vintage treasure necklace by Magpie Vintage a unique/one off design £425 {2} Hand knitted grey slippers with bows via Baltlicfrog on Etsy {3} Rustic Brown Ipad Case via Not On The HighStreet £55 {4} Audrey Hepburn, Elegant Spirit Book, from £6.00 at Amazon {5} Vintage style petticoat via Doris Designs {6} Love Letter notelets via BHLDN {7} Gerb Fatal seamed tights £16.95 {8} Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens via Amazon

And I think every girl should have a pair of seamed stockings or tights in their lingerie and underwear collection… just like they should all have at least one shade of very bright red lipstick in their makeup bag – one of life's essentials and is the law 🙂

And what about something for the home?

We need a clock in our kitchen, it's driving me nuts without one, and I love the lock of this Oval Fob Watch Style Wall Clock.  We are also in dire need of some ONE place to keep our post – it currently lies all around the flippin Kitchen and drives me as nuts as not having a clock! I found this Wire Mail Box on the Cox and Cox website for £16.50 and love it's vintage appeal.

My Husbands Brother went trekking in Napal a few years ago and came back with a gift of a beautiful yak wool blanket. It is one of those posessions I will treasure forever, and I swear to God it is the warmest thing ever! I call it the 'magic blanket', it really is super cosy.  I use the blanket to keep my baby girl Leanora warm at night now so really fancy a new one to snuggle in to when I'm working downstairs.  This lovely Yak wool sofa throw looks perfect…

For the home

{1} Oval Fob Watch Style Wall Clock £46 {2} Wire Mail Box from £16.50 from Cox & Cox {3} Kasbah Lights £50 from Cox and Cox {4} Vintage 1930s Table Globe £200 {5} Yak wool sofa throw from Worldly Possessions on Etsy {6} Antique engraved mirror £350 at Pale & Interesting {7} 1930s French Bakelite Telephone restored & in full working order £9

And I've always fancied myself an antique telephone and globe – especially now as our 6 year old Daughter is asking all sorts of questions about the world. The pretty lights above are from Cox and Cox – just love pretty fairy style bulbs especially at Christmas – we have them hanging around the ceiling in our bedroom all year round though.

An antique mirror would make a fine addition to our hallway downstairs and I particularly love this one from Pale & Interesting.

So there you go Santa Baby – I realise it's all a little bit expensive but I did say it was my wish list 🙂 I might have to go thrift shopping.  Now there's a fun idea.

So what about you? What's on your christmas wish lists for this year? Let's get some inspiration and ideas flowing…

Much Sunday love all,

Annabel xXx
