The wedding industry presents some wonderful opportunities for suppliers to collaborate on inspirational photoshoots, and I've seen many beautiful photoshoot come out of these collaborations in my time as a blogger. In my opinion however, no body does it better than the duo who I affectionately like to refer to as 'Gooch & Gawler' {don't even think of registering that domain, they're already on to it}…
Love My Dress Wedding Blog – Photography Copyright (c) 2012 Sarah Gawler, Styling by Hannah Gooch
Stylist Hannah Gooch of The Ebury Collection, and Photographer Sarah Gawler are a creative force to be reckoned with. Having collaborated on various shoots now, they have come to develop a signature that oozes ethereal beauty – an exquisite whimsical style fit for a Vogue magazine centre spread – or cover, frankly.
Their fondness for such aesthetics suits itself beautifully to working with designers like Claire Pettibone, Jenny Packham and Clinton Lotter {by the way, did you *see* that wedding dress yesterday??}. When Gooch & Gawler sprinkle their creative fairy dust on a photoshoot like this, something magical happens…
This latest collaboration features some of the most beautiful wedding dresses and accessories I have seen in a while. I adore it through and through – it is the stuff that all little girl's wedding dreams are made of…
The super lovely Hannah Gooch told me more about this shoot…
"Back in September last year, a team of super creative people gathered at a secret location in East Sussex. A privately owned home with incredible gardens. How lucky were we to be able to use it for the day?! Formal gardens, teamed with wild flower gardens, secret pathways, manicured lawns and a custom built water feature which had to be lifted in by crane.
We were spoilt for choice for locations to shoot…"
"We were joined by Severin Hubert from The Hepburn Collection who was our super hairstylist, Daniel K Palmer for fabulous make-up, LK Lily who created the florals, styling be me and of course, photographer Sarah Gawler who captured it all beautifully.
Aiming for an intimate garden scene, we teamed dresses from Clinton Lotter, Claire Pettibone and Rivini with accessories from Liberty in Love, Jenny Packham and What Katy Did Next – all generously supplied by Blackburn Bridal Couture.
Our groom wore suits from Favourbrook and A Suit That Fits…"
"Our eye catching centrepiece hanging over the table was a beautiful wire candle chandelier from Rayment Wire, decorated with garden roses, fern and jasmine.
Absolutely beautiful vintage china from Roses All Over and a delicious butter cream tiered cake from Tempting Cake completed our vision of a secret garden wedding…"
I will never, ever tire of this kind of inspirational photoshoot. Ever.
The dresses alone are exquisite, but the styling from the hair and makeup to the beautiful table spread decor is breathtaking.
Huge thanks to Hannah Gooch and Sarah Gawler for so kindly allowing me to share these photographs with you today. I'd like to encourage you to check out the websites and blogs of both of these wonderfully talented ladies.
I would love to hear your thoughts; which is your favourite dress design? Has anyone considered having an outdoor, whimsical style secret garden party wedding reception? {what fun!!} and might someone possibly recognise this very secret location?
Much love,
Annabel
