It’s Friday, and you know what, today I feel like a little tongue-in-cheek wedding humour. Not at the expense of any brides I hasten to add. Ooooh no. Something a little more canny than that. Nobody does tongue-in-cheek humour better than those cheeky creative duo over at Truly Madly Dottie, Mandy and Zoe. I mean, who else would have thought of taking the game Cluedo and turning it into a murder mystery style marriage, complete with murder weapon biscuits and killer cookies? Teehehe!
This is the kind of shoot I like to feature to make you smile. But
actually, there’s a whole lotta glamour going on in here, and gorgeous
styling too! So, smile and be inspired today, on the count down to home time…
“Twice
a year, we like to push the boat out and style a wedding shoot. We like to go really
mad with these so we always pick a great theme, venue and bunch of
suppliers that we know will do a really great job.
The Cluedo
shoot idea came from our love of the game. Not many people beat Mandy
when she plays. Mandy thought she may of lost the skill of Identifying
the murderer, weapon and location, given that she hadn’t played the game in a while, but after purchasing a vintage board game from EBay, she still managed
to win all six games!”

“The
paper details prooved to be as difficult as the outfit’s. Google
searches did not have a lot of inspiration for murder themed weddings. We have to say though, our
favourite idea from the day was definitely the murder booth. Lets be honest now, there are times we can even feel like murdering our better halves – although we did have to remind the models
it was only pretend!
The whole shoot is just full of inspiration
and funny. You must read and look at every photograph carefully
though, as whilst it might not be obviously, there is usually a clue
lurking about and linking to murder.”
“We thought Cluedo would be a easy theme to
work with but trying to find outfits was almost impossible. That was until the
ball was set rolling with Mrs Peacocks outfit from Lindsay Fleming.
All
the outfits after this just fell into places and the suppliers really
got involved…”
Murderous biscuits!
LOVE!
Thank you so much you crazy Dottie ladies! Please do something crazy mad again soon won’t you?
