This is the second time this week that I'm venturing from UK shores when it comes to the real wedding I've chosen to share with you. First, we had glorious, glorious Gozo, and today, we're over at the Portest des Iris in Vuillerens, Switzerland, where bride Isabella chose to marry her beau Ryan on 22nd September this year.
"Ryan and I met at university six years ago and have been together for four
years. We got engaged on New Years Eve last year, in a mountain town in Switzerland
while visiting family on a ski holiday and got married the following
September, nine months later.
We chose to marry at Portest des Iris in Vuillerens, Switzerland. We wanted a venue where we could do the ceremony, reception,
dinner and party in the same place. We also wanted somewhere that had a
nice outdoor space and that had the amazing views that Switzerland can
offer.""We really wanted to go for something more rustic as it
would fit well with the venue. We also wanted to have a wedding that
looked nice but that felt laid-back and intimate."

"Our Swedish wedding planners Kalosia were
in charge of decorations. When it came to the flowers, we just really wanted something that was more rustic and more
pastel colours to give it a slight vintage feel. We were thrilled with the results…"
Isabella wore a lovely lace Cymbeline wedding gown…
"I knew I wanted a lace dress and one that was not too ‘big’.
This was actually the third dress I tried on and as soon as I put it on I
knew it was ‘the one’. However, as it was only the 3rd dress I felt I
had to try more on so I went to another shop and tried on the Vera
Wangs, Monique Lulliers, etc and even though they were all beautiful, my
Cymbeline dress felt so much more unique."
"Since 3 of the girls live in Switzerland, one in Sweden and one
was pregnant at the time of the fitting we were quite nervous about how
the Maids to Measure bridesmaids dresses would fit, but they did a great job and the dresses came out beautifully. The girls looked gorgeous in them."
"Our photographers were M&J Photography.
We found them online and just loved their style. It’s great that there
are two of them as Morgane was able to photograph me getting ready and
Jonny was able to photograph Ryan. They were really professional and
non-intrusive and we couldn’t be happier with our wedding pictures!"
"We had three readings. The first was read by my mother in
Portuguese and it was a passage from the Bible. The second was read by
one of Ryan’s sister and it was “The Relationship Promise” by Luke
Wright and third was the Apache Blessing right at the end and it was
read by Ryan’s other sister. After the vows we also asked all the guests
to sing “A Little Help From My Friends” by The Beatles."
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
We hired Kalosia for our wedding planners. They
really understood what we wanted (even when we weren’t sure ourselves)
and were absolutely amazing in every aspect! We didn’t have to worry
about anything on the day and the way the venue was decorated went
beyond our expectations. We could never have done it without them!
I don’t think we have one favourite part as the whole day was so
special! It’s an amazing feeling having all the people you care about in
the same place and the atmosphere was just so happy."
Super gorgeous Swiss swoooons!
