Please allow me to beg your pardon for blowing my own trumpet, but I know a darn good thing when I see one, which is why, when I saw the photographer Sarah Gawler and the stylist and owner of Ebury Home and Garden, Hannah Gooch start partnering together on photoshoots last year, I insisted they register the domain www.goochandgawler.com (got a rather nice ring about it, don’t you think?) and start doing magic together. Not that I’m taking any credit for the fact they went ahead and did just that, but if there is one site you lovers of pretty Pinterest worthy images want to bookmark and keep an eye on in the coming weeks, it’s this one.
And so it makes me a very happy blogger to be in receipt of a submission that epitomises Love My Dress style glamour and elegance from every pretty corner of every single beautiful photograph.
I don’t wish to detract from this set of photographs any further so am going to hand over to Hannah Gooch who’s going to provide a few words about how these sublime images came in to existence for you all to enjoy this afternoon…

“A few weeks ago, Sarah Gawler and I met with a top team at The Orangery in Holland Park
London, for our latest inspiration shoot. Back in April, we’d planned
to shoot in an apple orchard in Kent, to time it with the blossom. But
the good old British weather put a swift stop to our plans. So we
thought an undercover location would be more reliable considering how
much rain we’ve had, and we were delighted when we were given the OK to
shoot at The Orangery in Holland Park.
We chose a ‘less is more’ look and were going to work with a base
of grey, whites and greens. Trying to keep it chic and classic. The
look was based around a beautiful washed linen dove grey tablecloth from
The Linen Works.”
“Lindsay and Helen from LK Lily,
who we’ve worked with on a few of our previous shoots produced some
stunning bouquets and an elegant table arrangement. We were also really
delighted to work with Daniel K Palmer
again, who creates magic with hair and make-up. And for the first time,
we were helped on the day by the lovely Emily Nicholson, who used to
work with me at John Lewis. She was a great pair of hands!”
“Our model, Zsanett from MOT, was a dream to work with. So professional and the dresses fitted her perfectly. The dresses and veil were selected from Blackburn Bridal.
The first, a sequined, backless dress designed by Amanda Garrett, the
lace dress with the bow and flower detail is from Cymbeline and the silk
dress with pink detail is from Claire Pettibone. To finish off the look
we were lent some stunning jewellery from Alex Monroe, which tied in
perfectly as we had the company of a rather confident and very loud
peacock on the day! So we chose some items from their Peacock
collection.”
“I discovered Victoria Made
via Twitter and was really impressed with the unique designs of her
wedding cakes and noticed that she also made other treats such as
delicately iced biscuits and meringues. So I was really excited when
Victoria not only offered to make two bespoke cakes, some meringues and
marshmallows just for our shoot, but that she would drive them all the
way to London from Yorkshire! Thank you so much Victoria.”
“Artcadia
were so kind in producing some bespoke stationery for us too. Beautiful
letterpress invitations and menu cards, and some little tags which were
used as place settings. They worked perfectly with the look we were
trying to create…”

Oh my goodness, Sarah Gawler’s images of these beautiful frocks in the most fabulous setting is just heavenly. I could look at them all day. In fact, I am going back to look again! Congratulations to all involved including Hannah on her divine styling.
What a gorgeous shoot! So ethereal and romantic.
I adore everything about this shoot – but really love the wistful large bouquet. Very lovely indeed.
Me too, reminds me of an oversized 1920s style bouquet – I say let them have a come back right now!
We used a similar bouquet to this (ferns and with a focus on green) in the 70’s chapter of my new book X
I have to keep scrolling up and down too! XX
