Oh how I've been looking forward to sharing this one! Sarah and Adrian got married on 8 December 2012 The Holy Trinity Church in Cookham, followed by a ceremony at Stoke Place in Buckinghamshire. The couple, who met through mutual friends on a night out in London, were together for three years before Adrian proposed to Sarah on a surprise trip to Seville. They were engaged for 14 month before the wedding.
I think the first thing that drew me to these photographs, apart from how absolutely beautiful Sarah is (those waves in her hair and that smile!), was her dress. With the bride working in fashion, the fashion and styling aspect of the day was very important to the couple, and so a trip to Browns in London was in order…
"My wedding dress was designed by Reem Acra and I bought it from Browns in London. I adored the overlay with all the embroidery and beading. The design was classic, but it also had that vintage feel…"

"My bridesmaids wore strapless long dresses with a sweetheart neckline in navy blue from Dessy. Via a friend, I managed to hire four mink pastel fur stoles for my bridesmaids to wear over their dresses."
"Our Florist, Yannik Pascal Gabory
and I worked together. He created the amazing flower displays and Wish
Tree centre piece and I provided all the props and other little extras
to style the room. Yannick used lots of gorgeous flowers…a mixture
of roses, some retro flowers such as carntions, lots of Gypsum and also
sprayed lots of greenery silver, to give it that vintage winter
wonderland twist."
"I wore a pair of cassic silver open toe, kitten heeled, slingbacks from Prada."
"I wore a diamante hair comb, made from 5 vintage brooches from UrbanBride. My parents bought me a beautiful pair of Rose Quarts drop earrings from Butler & Wilson."
"The year leading up to the wedding I spent researching and
collecting lots of little extra bits….tealight holders, candleabras,
vintage signs, pictures and paddle signs for fun and to make it more
personal."
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"Start
planning as soon as possible, so that you can balance it out over the
time you have allocated – and remember it is worth it on the day!"
The couple's friend XX recorded this lovely little film on the day…

How fabulously stylish and glamorous, what a beautiful dress and bride *sigh*.
Huge thanks to Adi at Contemporary Wedding Photography for submitting this glamorous wedding day celebration and sending love also to Sarah and Adrian.
Anyone else suddenly finding a Reem Acra obsession is bugging them?

So beautiful! I just love the brides outfit.
This is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen!! But unfortunately suspect it cost as much as our entire wedding 🙁 x
Where is the lovely shrug from? I’m really struggling to find one to work with my strapless dress and its so cold I’ll need one! X
Love this amazing dress and beautiful styling! Just wondering where the bride got that fabulous poster of her and her husband in their finery from? Would love something similar!
What a beautiful wedding. I love the Gatsby-style glamour and the fur stoles! Lovely!
Gorgeous. I really love this wedding. All the details of the wedding are great.
These dresses are amazing. There are lots of wedding dresses styles that we can choose.
Hi Naomi!
I spoke with Sarah the lovely bride, and she said she picked up the lovely shrug from the Zoe Lem Wedding Fair at http://www.zoelem.co.uk/events.html
She couldn’t quite remember which supplier it was, but I hope you find this helpful 😉 You could email Zoe herself to find out which supplier she thought it might be? zoe AT zoelem.co.uk XX
Hi Lisa!
Sarah has asked me to tell you that she actually picked up her dress in the Browns Bride sample sale that they hold quite regularly – I know of other brides that have featured on Love My Dress that have done the same and saved a LOT of money – perhaps you could contact Browns Bride to find out when the next sample sale will be?
Much love and thanks so much for your lovely comment,
Annabel xXx
Thank you so much everyone for your lovely lovely comments on this drop dead gorgeous wedding 🙂

Beautiful vintage styling – the dress is to die for, all that delicate embroidery………….
Hi, beautiful wedding. Everything is gorgeous especially the dress! Please could you ask Zoe where she got the drawing of her and her husband. Such a lovely touch and keepsake for a wedding.
@Amy I googled the drawing as I also love it, looks like it’s from Not On The High Street.com, Miss Swanne hand drawn personalised wedding illustration. Now I just have to find the Reem Acra dress and I’m set! 🙂
Ah hi Ladies!
Lovely to see the photos of the big day. I met Sarah and Adrian through a mutual friend a few months before the wedding and was commissioned to produce a personalised illustration for them!
