Thank heavens its Friday! I do have the most wonderful wedding to share with you today, and I'm not going to deny that for me, these beautiful photographs are all about the bride in her exquisite 1930s original vintage diamond panel silk wedding dress, and Edwardian wax orange blossom flower crown – both finds from Hope & Harlequin. I simply adore the whole look.
Kat and Pat got married on 27 April this year at Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham, followed by a dinner at La Buvette in Richmond upon Thames. The couple wanted a relaxed, fuss free day with touches of 1930s vintage throughout.
Huge thanks to the incredibly talented photographer Emilie White for sharing these photographs today.
"My dress was from vintage clothing specialists Hope & Harlequin – I fell in love with the simplicity of it, and the long sleeves. The whole shape and silhouette represents a bygone era where the body was celebrated
through the cut of the dress, not the amount of flesh on show."

"I wanted a wild bouquet of anemones and I love the look of that
cornflower blue – rosemary was included in the arrangement which gave a
beautiful, calming scent on the day."
"I didn't wear a veil, I wore a waxed orange-blossom flower crown instead, also purchased from Hope & Harlequin – it had been rescued from a Theatre!"
"I wanted my bridesmaids to choose a dress they felt comfortable in
and represented their different personalities so they all picked
different dresses – just so happened they all went for lace! Their
gowns were from Monsoon, Reiss and Beyond Retro.
Instead of bouquets they had matching corsages."

Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"I loved the simplicity of our day, and having all our close friends and family together – I say take time out on the day for yourself – even if that’s just 5 minutes first thing in the morning before the whirlwind starts. It goes so
quickly! Savour it as much as you can."
I'm so smitten with that dress and headpiece, what exquisite pieces of history, that suit Kat just perfectly.
Huge thanks to the amazing photographer Emilie White for sharing these glorious photographs, and congratulations to Kat and Pat for having the most beautiful wedding day. You can see more photographs from the hugely talented Emilie White on Love My Dress here.
