Owners Richard & Cordelia Squire have poured their hearts and souls into the extensive renovations at Bassmead, working to the ‘sophisticated country chic’ brief that’s drawing couples from right across the country to this quiet corner of Cambridgeshire.
The fantastically named ‘Rickety Barn’ was the first to receive some tender loving care and the combination of original exposed beams, exposed brickwork coupled with light traditional features and contemporary colours, lighting and finishes created a unique space that the couple have replicated across the site. There are now a variety of ceremony and reception spaces for you to chose from, all linked by picture-perfect gardens.
In addition to the superb barns, there’s also plenty of first class accommodation at Bassmead Manor Barns too. Appletree Cottage, with its seven double en-suite rooms is a simply fabulous retreat for friends and family whilst Dove Cottage, the dreamy honeymoon suite is a truly fabulous bolt hole and a suitably memorable setting for your first morning as husband and wife.

Bassmead Manor Barns are licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 150 guests and you’ll have the entire venue to yourself. Exclusive use of the venue including Dove Cottage and the boudoir is available to you on the morning of your wedding from 10am so you can relax and ready yourself. The on-site expert catering team at Bassmead Manor Barns provide menu packages that also include drinks and service. Continental breakfasts are included when you book accommodation and Appletree Cottage also has one disabled access room available.
