I can’t believe how quickly this year is flying by – how on earth can it be November already? I’m also feeling stunned that it’s been a whole six months since we advertised for our first team of interns.  As we prepare to say a rather tearful goodbye to this amazing group of women who have done such an excellent job over the past few months, we’re also feeling really excited to be starting the search to find our next group of wedding loving writers who would like to become part of Team Love My Dress®.

Love My Dress will be celebrating its fifth birthday in just a few weeks time and I still can believe how this wonderful blog has changed my life. I’m proud beyond belief of what Love My Dress has achieved since 2009 – our double win at the recent Wedding Blog Awards reflects the shared passion and commitment of everyone involved in making this wedding blog something very special indeed.  To help us move forward and continue to inspire so many people all over the world on a daily basis, we’re now looking for more fantastic people to join our team.

We need a number of interns to help us produce our beautiful real wedding features – one of the most important roles behind the running of this blog.

Our real wedding features are the backbone of what we do – they’re what bring our readers back in their droves every day.  We receive many compliments on the presentation and format of our real weddings – Love My Dress® is an online world of wedding planning inspiration that embraces glamour and elegance and encourages sophistication and style, but our focus is to remain true to the love story behind every wedding and it is super important to us that our real wedding features reflect this.  We know how easy it is to get caught up in the crazy carnival of wedding planning, so aim to encourage our readers on to a path that will lead to the kind of wedding they truly, personally desire.

We want to make sure that alongside the many exciting projects and new things we’re focusing on right now, that we can continue to produce our inspiring, supportive and encouraging real wedding features to the same high quality that our readers have become accustomed to.

So here’s the deal – if you’re looking for an opportunity to stretch your creative wings, add to your CV by writing for a wedding blog with global appeal and impressive social media reach, indulge your love of writing and weddings or just to explore the blogosphere in more detail around your current role or family commitments, then I think we might just have the perfect opportunity for you.  You might be engaged or already married – the key for us is that you share our passion for what we do and wanting to inspire others.

Before I tell you how you can apply to become an Intern, perhaps I should hand over to the gorgeous women who I’ve loved working with over the past few months to tell you what being a Love My Dress intern is really like…

“I have loved every minute of being part of Love My Dress.  For a start, it’s such a lovely bunch of people. As a certified wedding geek, I love everything about weddings so having to look at the most gorgeous photography and writing about wonderful weddings has been a dream come true. Each wedding I’ve written about has been unique and special in its own way and at the end of writing each piece I’ve wished that I could marry all over again just so that I could steal another great idea! I’m really going to miss being part of this special group and would jump at the chance to do it all over again.”  – Katie Isles

“Writing for Love My Dress has been such an amazing experience. The team at Love My Dress are wonderful and Annabel has been fantastically supportive, as I was really nervous about putting pen to paper for such a fabulous blog. I’d recommend it to anyone – it’s been an absolute please to report the real life weddings and I will miss it so much.” – Rebecca Jenkinson

Annabel has put together a team of wonderful people – all talented, all wedding obsessed and all absolutely flipping lovely. It’s been amazing to be part of that team and to step behind the scenes of my favourite blog.”  – Kate Tetlow

“The internship has been an incredible opportunity to gain valuable insight into the wedding industry and that if you are motivated to pursue your own career goals, spending six months at Love My Dress is a great starting block.” – Susie Baird

“I wish I could apply and do it all over again! The experience of being part of team Love My Dress even for a short while and particularly through a time of great change has been truly wonderful. It has opened up and allowed me to pursue my personal goals with confidence and along the way meeting passionate, like-minded people has been lovely.  If the idea excites you in any way, you must apply, you will only regret it if you don’t!” – Caoimhe Anderson
