Good morning all, I’ve been poring over these images from Peach & Jo Photography for absolutely ages now and not jotted down a single word! This rustic, Autumnal wedding, which Annabel sneak previewed over Christmas, is a complete knock-out. There are so many beautiful moments to inspire you; it will most definitely make you forget it’s Monday.
Nick, a general manager at an ad agency, and Anna, a book designer, were married on 25th October 2014 at the Godwick Great Barn, Norfolk. The couple hired Penny Baldry from Godwick to help plan the day, and the idea was simple:
“We wanted a down-to-earth, natural, convivial and beautiful Autumnal wedding.”

Anna’s bouquet is a real showstopper… I’m sure many of you will be scrambling for the ‘pin it’ button right now! The floral arrangements, courtesy of Bramble and Berry, are absolutely breath-taking. Don’t you think they capture the autumnal feel of the wedding perfectly?
“Our flowers were a seasonal abundance of wild and natural flowers”
Anna wore a beautiful soft gown with a vintage feel from the inimitable Charlie Brear, which she found at The Secret Dress House in Reigate.
She completed the look with a delicate jewelled belt from J Marie Bridal Finery on Etsy and gorgeous gold oak leaf hair accessories, also from Etsy (dreamsbythesea).
Peach & Jo’s relaxed, natural style suits this day down to the ground. The shots of Nick and Anna in the grounds of Godwick capture the wild and romantic spirit of the day perfectly. Beautiful.
Anna’s scalloped gold pumps are from Elehandmade at Etsy.
I love the pretty printed dressing gowns that the bride and her maids wore on the wedding morning – you can find similar ones on Etsy. The chic gold and cream bridesmaid dresses are from ASOS.
I love that the wedding party reached the ceremony on the back of this beautifully decorated tractor!
Godwick Great Barn, Norfolk is a beautiful, versatile venue full of rustic charm. The couple strung fairy lighting from the huge oak beams and brought the outdoors indoors with copper-leaf trees forming the ceremony backdrop. Sigh.
The natural theme was carried through to the menu and invitations, which were designed by Diane Gush.
The couple chose Hatter Events for catering, and toasted the day in these adorable hand-painted tin mugs.
Nick and Anna had three cakes – a rich fruit cake, a light fruit cake and a cherry and coconut cake. These were made by the couple’s mums and Nick’s sister, and adorned with sprigs of rosemary and waxflower.
The day was rounded off with music from an eight piece party skiffle band, The Lovin Handful, which features a mixture of guitar, banjo, double bass, mandolin, cajon, accordion, melodica, skiffle tree and general percussion players.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
“On the day, take some time to just stop and look around you at all the wonderful things going on”
Nick and Anna, it was a genuine pleasure to write about your wonderful autumnal wedding day, thank you so much for sharing it with us. To Steve and Jo (aka Peach & Jo Photography), thank you for telling the story of the couple’s day so beautifully. I have no doubt that these exquisite images will inspire lots of our readers.
I would love to hear from any readers getting married in autumn 2015, or anyone planning a natural, rustic day like Nick and Anna. If you’ve fallen in love with Anna’s wedding dress, you can see lots more Charlie Brear brides here.
Love Louisa xx

There is no question these florals are exquisite! The half circle shape at the ceremony really creates an intimate space, love that, too!
Hi I love this wedding and the enamal mugs are exactly what we have been looking for. Is it possible to be able to find out where they sourced them from?
