During the last few months I have been in the process of adding a new collection of floral designs to my portfolio. I wanted to get some really beautiful photographs taken to show off my new designs so I asked Lauren McGlynn to be my photographer for the product shoot.

We’ve worked together before, so I know and love Lauren’s style, and as soon as we started discussing the options we knew we could do so much more than just a catalogue of product pictures. Lauren suggested the beautiful Seacliff beach, near North Berwick, for our shoot. Its a small, private beach on a secluded stretch of sandy coastline, and just what we wanted for the backdrop to our images.
We wanted to keep things very laid back and show what can be achieved with just a little simple styling. The models we chose are family friends of Lauren and her husband – we chose them because we wanted their natural chemistry and love to show in the images, rather than using two people who had likely never met before the shoot.
We also liked the idea of showing what a small and intimate family wedding might look like. A couple who already have a family together, getting married with the children as witnesses and then taking their family for a walk on the beach. A super relaxed wedding day out, more a ‘family elopement’, rather than a large, formal reception.
The new Boutique Collection is perfect for this sort of occasion, as each collection contains everything you might need for a small wedding, from bouquets and buttonholes to hair flowers and flower girls posies.
We understand that not everyone wants a lavish celebration, so with that in mind we have designed a range of beautiful styles for you to choose from to compliment your wedding. Simply pick a style, choose the different items you will need and we’ll do the rest. Each style can also be tailored to reflect your colour scheme. All our boutique collections start with one bridal bouquet, two bridesmaids’ bouquets and four buttonholes with the option to add more items as needed.

We sourced all the outfits used from regular highstreet and online stores, to show what can be achieved without a huge budget or choosing more traditional bridal options. Rhiannon – our bride – wore her own jewellery, choosing colourful artisan earrings for a relaxed, slightly bohemian look. Brian – Rhiannon’s husband – also wore his own slacks, shirt and braces. We found some cute little denim jump suits for the two girls, we wanted them to be comfortable and able to run around and enjoy the beach!
I know sometimes the choice in flowers available for your wedding can be a little overwhelming, so I wanted to take some of the stress out of ordering beautiful, personalised flowers. I love using seasonal flowers, so I’ve chosen flowers that are either available most of the year round, or have similar alternatives during the different months.
Each style can be tailored to reflect your colour scheme, and accessorised with coloured ribbon to compliment your overall look. All our boutique collections start with one bridal bouquet, two bridesmaids’ bouquets and four buttonholes with the option to add more items as needed.
The new boutique collection comprises of 3 different styles;
Rose Garden
Soft, textured and scented, the rose garden collection features luscious clusters of spray roses, old style garden roses, and large headed, full petalled varieties. We’ve mixed them with the softest green eucalyptus and a handful of other seasonal flowers for a luxurious, understated look.
Fairest of the Seasons
We only pick the fairest seasonal flowers for this collection, a combination of the loveliest blooms available the week of your wedding. You are likely to find hydrangeas, roses and lavender in this collection, alongside the best the market has to offer. Lovingly styled for a soft, natural look.
Wild Thing
We are often asked to create bouquets that look like we’ve gone dancing in a meadow and scooped up handfuls of wildflowers on the way – so we’ve done just that. If you are looking for a slice of “rustic meadow” or “hedgerow chic” then Wild Thing is for you. A gorgeous blend of herbs, queen anne’s lace and chamomile daisies with seasonal wild flowers, bound with burlap.
Since we launched the Boutique Collection, we’ve had some lovely variations in the colours of each style. We’ve made the Rose Garden in soft pinks and creams, with a hint of pale blue, and Wild Thing in shades of chocolate and cream, filled with cosmos daisies and seed pods. The designs are all versatile and its great to see how each couple can make the collection their own, just by choosing a different combination of colours.
Lauren’s photography really highlights the rugged beauty of our location at Seacliff Beach. I adore the unposed shots of the girls playing in the sand, as well as the colourful, detailed shots of the flowers. She really brought the best out of the flowers and captured our family wedding party perfectly.
