Good Morning lovelies. With the weekend upon us what better way to kick it off than with a gorgeous Bohemian style wedding in the Mexican sunshine (hey you never know it might bring some sunshine to our weekend, we can but hope). Get ready for a beautiful Hayley Paige gown, a stunning Juliet cap veil, pretty little favours and the sweetest flower girl and pageboy duo!

On January 22nd this year, Make Up Artist LeeAnne and Fish Plant Operator Fraser tied the knot at Gran Bahia Principe Tulum, Riviera Maya, Mexico. Beautifully captured by Chantal of Chantal Lachance-Gibson Photography. The pops of colour throughout this wedding really brightened up my day, I hope they do yours too.
“We both had the same idea of what we wanted our wedding to be like and that was that it was kept fairly relaxed, on the beach and myself and the bridesmaids style to have a Bohemian edge to it.”

LeeAnne and Fraser chose talented photographer Chantal of Chantal Lachance-Gibson Photography. Chantal is a natural, romantic, documentary style photographer based in Scotland, UK, who also travels internationally.
“We’re both absolutely over the moon with Chantal, she captured the day beautifully. The images look straight out of a magazine! As I am a makeup artist, I like to be behind the camera as I usually feel very awkward in front of the lens, and Chantal she made us feel so at ease – we hardly knew she was there. She was also very friendly – my family and friends loved her and her professionalism.”
LeeAnne’s something borrowed was a few spritz of her sisters fragrance Daisy by Marc Jacobs – such a sweet idea.
These two cuties are the sweetest flower girl and pageboy duo! Arianna’s Monsoon dress – Baby Estella Sparkle was purchased from Monsoon and finished off with a very sweet feather crown while Fraser’s cream suit was from CLOUDO Kids.
LeeAnne’s Hayley Paige gown purchased from Ivory Pinks, Bothwell was perfect for her bohemian look. The lace detailing on the back and the little lace capped sleeves added a real touch of elegance. LeeAnne chose to finish off her Bohemian look with a stunning Megan Therese Juliet cap veil and a pair of blue Jimmy Choo’s.
“As soon as I saw the colour, cut and lace detail I knew it was the one before trying it on! The ivory/cream tone complemented my skin colour and didn’t wash me out like a lot of the white dresses I had tried on and the cut flattered my slightly athletic build. Also it was different from any other dress I had came across.”
LeeAnne’s bridesmaids wore fuchsia dresses from Coast to add a pop of colour to the day and finished off with delicate flower crowns purchased from ‘Amore Bridal’ on Etsy for that Boho feel.
“I do love colour myself so I wanted to have some bursts of it in the bridesmaids dresses and the flowers, which I knew would look fantastic against the Mexican backdrop of blue skies, ocean and the beach locations vivid ferns.”
LeeAnne’s father walked her down the aisle to Coldplay’s ‘Till kingdom come’.
LeeAnne wanted flowers which complimented her bridesmaids dresses and that added a burst of colour to the day.
“Gran Bahia Principe Tulum – We Chose these flowers as they tied in with the girls dresses and flower crowns and they were very bold against the Mexican Backdrop. I added in the baby’s breath to break up the colour and add some softness to the bouquets.”
LeeAnne and Frasers rings where created by Timothy J.Sharp, shortlisted in 2013 for the Scottish Wedding Jeweller of the year and in 2014 gained the accolade of Scottish Wedding jeweller of the year.
“Timothy J.Sharp is a fantastic Scottish jewellery designer with unique and beautiful designs. One of the nicest guys in the industry and good friend. Definitely check out his work if you are looking for a wedding Jeweller.”
The hotel wedding co-ordinators at the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum took care of all the arrangements. They organised a 4 course sit down meal and LeeAnne and Fraser were over the moon with the results.
I love the favours LeeAnne created with inspiration from Pinterest, they fit perfectly with their Mexico destination wedding.
“Pinterest has great ideas so have a look if you are looking for some inspiration. To fit in with the Mexican beach theme I created message in a bottle favours for the women and tequila bottles for the men.”
Words of Wedded Wisdom
“It is so true, the day goes so fast! Take a few moments of alone time with your new husband away from the madness. You don’t have to spend a fortune on details, I made my own favours and wedding invites by looking on websites like ebay, amazon and Etsy. Pinterest is fantastic for ideas! Also try not get too stressed on the lead up it will all come together beautifully.”
