Make-up artist Becky Flynn is one of those inspiring people who’ve followed their passion and this alone makes me love her. I also love her because even in emails, her warm, friendly personality takes over and her enthusiasm just bubbles over.
“Ever since I was in school, I remember being passionate about make-up. My Mum never wears make-up and hasn’t ever owned any so I don’t know where it came from! I stuck with school for A levels but hated every minute and that made me realise I had to follow my dream. I went to Bath to study bridal make-up and have never looked back.”
Becky now lives in Somerset and travels all over the world for her clients bringing her style of fresh, natural make-up to lots of lucky brides who love her relaxed, pretty make-up portfolio.
“I love working with soft colour palettes and I also love hearing about my clients’ plans and their vision as this helps me create a look that enhances their natural beauty. Each wedding and each bride is unique so ‘natural make-up’ means something different for everyone. Every make-up look I create is bespoke and I just love that.”

That individual approach runs right through everything Becky does and her focus is always on providing a quality service to her lucky clients.
“I offer a little touch-up kit to every bride to use throughout the day,” says Becky. “Once I’ve finished the make-up, I stay until the bride leaves for her ceremony. I help the bride and her bridesmaids in every way I can from helping them dress and styling accessories to preparing bouquets and just doing anything I can.”
Becky Flynn takes her make-up inspiration from her clients themselves but also from nature, fine art, photoshoots, vintage wedding gowns and gorgeous wild bouquets and this luxurious yet rustic vibe is something super popular right now.

“I’ve seen a lot of rustic, natural weddings recently – marquees in fields, wild flowers, flowing hair and bare feet and make-up trends seem to follow suit. A lot of my brides are going for fresh, natural and relaxed make-up which I love. It’s timeless, beautiful and so pretty.”
