Kristina Gasperas was inspired to become a make-up artist on her own wedding day and that one application of make-up changed her life forever. Six years on, and with a national title at The Wedding Industry Awards to her credit, Kristina is as focused as ever on turning every client into a bridal icon. From her fabulous studio in Richmond, London, Kristina and the K-team travel to locations all over the UK and beyond leaving happy, beautiful clients to enjoy their weddings.
Kristina is also a professionally trained photographer and this knowledge of what’s needed for brides to look amazing in real life as well as in front of the camera certainly makes a massive difference to her clients.
“Wedding make-up is very red-carpet make-up. It needs to look good in person and on camera. It needs to last and look great during the day and well into the night. After each makeover, I offer a handful of photographs as part of the service. This is especially useful at hair and make-up trial when clients get to see how their chosen look will translate in photographs.”
Kristina and the K-Team are continually developing their techniques so they can always offer the very best to clients and her signature individual eyelash application creates fuller, longer and natural looking lashes. She and the team are also experts in corrective techniques and colour theory so they know how to select combinations of colours that flatter each and every client.
“Make-up shouldn’t stand out as make-up,” says Kristina. “Great make-up and hair should work in harmony and look part of the person and their style. We aim to create looks where our clients are seen and admired but the make-up isn’t centre stage. Our transformations are displayed for all to see in the ‘before and after’ gallery on our website.”
