Fresh, Modern, Botanical and 1970’s Inspired Bridal Style

Hello again my loves – how are you today? From my office view, I can see a blue sky appearing, which is a much welcome return after the grey laden view from my window of the past few days. Come on September, you were glorious last week! Yesterday we featured this most beautiful and timelessly elegant Siren Songs shoot – today, I have another set of gorgeous inspiring images to share with you, only this time, of an entirely different aesthetic. These photographs were sent in by photographer Paula McManus Photography who worked with a small team to create a shoot with a cool, fresh, modern, botanical vibe.

The shoot uses a mix of modern and vintage bridal gowns – the newer gowns being supplied by our Little Book For Brides member Minna. I loved the cool, contemporary nature of these images and hope they appeal to those of our readers who are keen to embrace a less traditional, more modernistic sense of style on their wedding day.

Botanical is seeing a big trend in the interiors world with succulents, hanging planters and foliage. The creative team behind this shoot were inspired to style a collection of crisp white dresses against a backdrop of modern botanical inspired greenery. Keeping the materials neutral with bare wood, concrete walls and ceramic tiles kept the overall vibe really fresh and modern.

Original vintage gowns with crochet lace and bell sleeves mixed with new designer silks provided a 1970’s bohemian vibe in a cool white and green colour palette.
