It will never cease to be a joyful moment for me, as I open up an email to not only discover a lovely message from a friendly industry contact, but an email bursting with the most beautiful images and a request that we share them on Love My Dress.
As regulars will know, we don’t share styled photoshoots in abundance, we prefer to focus on the joy of real weddings – those shoots we do share always therefore have to be exquisite and really stand out. These beautiful images were sent in by wedding Stylist and Co-ordinator Emma Berry of Goose & Berry, who collaborated with photographer Ilaria Petrucci and a team of talented suppliers to create an English country garden inspired shoot. I don’t want to talk all over these images, as they speak for themselves. But I am going to handover to Emma to tell us more.
Prepare to Pinterest lovelies, there are a lot of glorious flower and decorative idea filled images for you in this post. Enjoy!
“Being fortunate enough to grow up in the countryside, the weddings we style and produce are heavily influenced by nature, flowers and the colours that the seasons bring with it. Spring and summer are gorgeous times of year and popular to get married in and in our humble opinion the English countryside looks gorgeous throughout these seasons.”

“Typically English, the country garden and all of its floral majesty is a perfect setting for a wedding reception and being blessed with so much in the way of flora and fauna creates a perfect backdrop to get married and celebrate in.”
“Wickham House provides us with the most fabulous of such settings and in particular it’s walled garden is testament to the truly stunning nature of a garden that has been well tended to and crafted to be a true work of art; picture perfect for a wedding.
We have been lucky enough to have planned a wedding last year within this venue and thoughts of weddings surrounded by an abundance of florals conjured up ideas of an English country garden wedding and how we would want it to look.”
“To complement such a gorgeous setting, we wanted to enhance the floral landscape and add some typically English flowers, in all their wild and delicate sense. Enter Verity & Thyme.”
“Florist Charlotte creates the most romantic of displays and bouquets which was the perfect fit for a stereotypically English affair.”
“Not only super talented when it comes to crafting some magic blooms for the bride, she also doubled up as the model bride herself. A true classic English beauty she modelled the gorgeous dresses beautifully.”
“So as to not be too clichéd, we wanted to style Charlotte with a slightly modern twist and the fabulous team at Ellie Sanderson did so with ease.”
“Dresses by Halfpenny London and Charlie Brear, supplied via bridal boutique Ellie Sanderson, were paired with delicate hair accessories and shoes by Emmy London to bring the bridal styling slightly up to date and with a modern classic twist, complementing the traditional romantic setting of the garden and flowers.”
“Some looks were kept more classic with more natural hair and make-up; created by the wonderful Katie Reay Scott and matched with wild and blush florals. Others were more modern and boho with brighter florals and some fun floral ribbon and silks by the talented Kate Cullen.”
“Jewellery needed to be natural, but elegant and Lucy Jade Sylvester is a true genius who uses natural elements such as twigs, pinecones and seed heads to influence her designs, which worked perfect for this look and styling.”
“Nature, flowers and English country gardens played a huge part in the styling and the table setting needed to reflect this. Pinks, corals and pops of colour throughout the table worked well together with the more nude and blush hues; a delicate and romantic combination with a touch of the contemporary.”
“Marble designed plates combined with cute floral bowls, completed with gold cutlery created the classic but modern feel to the layout and the silk runner and cotton napkins added to the romance.”
“The stationery by Ollies Studio had bursts of colour teamed with calligraphy font which further enhanced the styling and design.”
“The collection with its hint of bright watercolour pink looks gorgeous against the lighter shades and adds an element of fun. A further fun design element can be found in the floral backed chairs that are bursting with colour.
Couture Chairscan create fashion focused chairs to match your wedding and event. Whether used for just the couple or for everyone, they create a real focus for a ceremony and can feature real or faux flowers. The colours and flowers we used were divine and suited the brief so perfectly.”
“To further the country garden styling, the cakes needed to have the mix of colours found within a garden in spring and summer and The Custom Cake Boutique has got it spot on.”
“Gorgeous sugar flowers flow down the side of the cake and the smaller fresh cakes add a point of interest and fun with the added gold leaf elements, which add a touch of elegance too and complement the jewellery and tableware.”
“Capturing everything so beautifully in a light and airy fashion was Ilaria Petrucci. The images portray a very classic and romantic styling but with the pops and hints of colour that Ilaria has captured it portrays a fun and contemporary element to the design; perfect for spring and summer English country garden weddings.”
What an absolutely charming and delightful set of images. Love and thanks to the incredibly talented team who produced and have kindly shared their work with Love My Dress today, but especially Emma of wedding stylists and co-ordinators, Goose & Berry.
