After a big week of planning, scoping out new projects and deep diving into our site analytics, we’ve made a few decision about how we share our content going forward, on Love My Dress.
We’ve always aimed to develop our beloved wedding blog so that it remains a number one resource on the interwebs for brides and couples seeking inspiration, advice, support and reassurance in planning their wedding. I’m not just saying this either, because I really am exceptionally proud of how we do this – from keeping you in the loop on bridal fashion, to taking you through honest, authentic wedding day journeys in our real weddings, to providing a more pastoral level of care where we address and explore not just wedding planning issues, but wider matters of life and love, along with health, wellbeing and fitness and also business and money matters.
In addition to this, we provide as much honest, no bull-shit practical advice as we can from experienced planners, and we are unafraid to address those more taboo subjects that mainstream media may shy away from. Tomorrow, for example, we’re sharing an article about marrying for the second time, and how you’re absolutely entitled to wear a white wedding dress if you do. You’ll find more such brave and honest articles in our From the Heart series. I really do consider Love My Dress the blog with a heart, because we care not just about taking you on a inspirational and practical wedding planning experience, but an emotional, heart-led one too.

As part of our examination of everything that we do, we’ve committed to upping the level of support we provide to the brands that make our existence possible. We work with many businesses in varying forms, and each and every one of the have been thoroughly researched, vetted and approved by our team. Many of them in fact, we have had experience of working with ourselves. All of them, we have a great working relationship with and take pleasure in recommending to you, be it through our blog, social media channels, closed Facebook group for brides (are you a member?) or our Little Book Wedding Directory.
We haven’t build our directory to simply push hundreds of businesses in your face. We have carefully curated our list of recommended wedding suppliers, so we can connect you with those businesses we really admire and care about.
It is with enormous pleasure today that we are able to recommend two of our directory Little Book directory members through this beautiful set of images shot on location in Puglia, Italy and captured by the wonder-talent of a photographer Tara Florence (you really *must* follow her Instagram account). They are Tilly Trotter’s – a gorgeous bridal boutique nestled in the heart of Leamington Spa, who provided the drop dead gorgeous Galia Lahav gowns you see in this article, and, bridal accessories designer extraordinaire, Hermione Harbutt.
Words below are by photographer Tara, who we thank for sharing these sublim images…
“For me, Galia Lahav is the pinnacle of bridal elegance and quality so, naturally, I leapt at the chance to photograph them when the designer sent some to the UK for 48 hours for me to shoot.”
“The Galia Lahav brand is stocked in only two boutiques in the UK, one of which being Tilly Trotter’s Bridal in the beautiful Royal Leamington Spa. Sian, the manager (and one of the funniest humans I’ve had the pleasure to meet) and I put our heads together to brainstorm how we wanted the images to look.”
“As the dresses are such a statement piece, we decided to keep the make up minimal, fresh and dewy – Claudia Salaris did a fabulous job on this. We teamed the natural makeup with tousled yet undone hair by Lynndy Rolfe. We paired the dresses with pretty accessories by Fifth & Spring and Hermione Harbutt.”
“Lucy Walker made a fabulous bouquet and our model Zoey was a complete babe and so easy to photograph.
The quality of these dresses really is exceptional, and I’m sure once you try them on, nothing will compare.”
“If you are dreaming of being a Galia Lahav bride you’re in luck as Tilly Trotter’s Bridal is hosting a trunk show with the 2019 Gala Collection from 28th-30th September and is offering an amazing 10% discount to all brides purchasing that weekend.”
