Mallorca is an incredibly special and beautiful island – I know that first hand, and so when I saw that today’s breathtaking wedding took place there, I was delighted!
The setting is a restored manor house hotel surrounded by the rural beauty of the island, transformed into an entrancing and atmospheric space for a wedding celebration with the most incredible flowers and lighting.
At the heart of it all were the couple – business woman Lara and Nacho, a public servant. They were married on the 25 August 2018 at the beautiful Finca Monnaber, Mallorca. Capturing all of this loveliness was Pere & Marga Fotografia, and these resulting images are full of Mallorcan magic, and it’s a pleasure to share their work here on Love My Dress.
“We chose it because the place has so much charm and detail. It was exactly what we’d been looking for, a place full of nature and beauty together.”

The day was planned to perfection by Pasion Eventos – Lara and Nacho wanted a sophisticated and elegant affair, which blended romance and humour together.
Lara’s magnificent hair was styled by Sergio Quesada, with the addition of glittering hair pins formed in the shape of a love heart! (Sadly, no details about hair accessories were provided). Cristina Batanero gave Lara a natural and radiant look in keeping with her nymph-like inspiration!
Lara wore stylish peep-toe platforms from Rosa Clara, paired with a wonderfully romantic gown, also by Rosa Clara. I love the Art Deco sunburst embellishment and delicately fluttering sleeves.

“I chose the dress because I felt like a nymph of the forest, and when I was a child I loved fairies and nymphs so it was perfect for me. It was perfect for the place we celebrated the wedding.”
Nacho wore a blue three-piece suit with a contrasting checked waistcoat from John Blond, with smart blue bow tie to match, also from John Blond.
Lara and Nacho first met through work in 2013 and became the best of friends.
“I was the one who took the initiative, and we started to know each other as a couple. The proposal was on Christmas Day 2015. I was very surprised because I thought Nacho didn’t want to get married. So when I was opening my presents after a few minutes he said ‘So, will you marry me?'”
“I was in shock and I couldn’t say a word because I was super surprised. Then my father said ‘Come on, say something to the boy, answer him!’ It was a really funny moment. We’ve been engaged for 3 years.”
The wedding ceremony was held outdoors in the most magical woodland setting, and the seating area and paths bedecked with the most stunning floral displays created by Enesencia, matching the mixture of blues and neutral shades in Lara’s bouquet designed by Francis Garcia.
“The colour palette we used was sky blue, Prussian blue, violet, lilac, lavender, white, cream, ivory, green and silver. We decorated the entrances with boxes and trunks with candles of different sizes, baskets with large wild floral arrangements in blues, whites, greens, lavender and… signs made of wood.”
“A carpet of natural sisal surrounded by wonderful floral arrangements of green leaves and flowers indicated the way to the ceremony. For the guests, we put out natural wooden stools and cushions of different colours.“
“On the altar, we put a wooden carpet in the floor, and we also included a wooden bench and a wooden floor decorated with flowers. We put many candles and vintage bottles full of flowers around and on the stone wall.”
Lara was proudly accompanied down the aisle by her son (who incidentally looked very smart in an outfit matching Nacho’s).
“My special song was the one I chose for the entrance… it was Il Divo. The song speaks about the promises of the marriage…”
The ceremony was conducted by Lara’s best friend, and the couple exchanged vows and listened to a specially written story by Lara’s sister-in-law.
“The story my sister-in-law told was about a wolf and a witch and how our love story began was precious… When you start a relationship everything is wonderful and perfect until you have some important problem, and there you have to fight to resolve it. Well, we started with all the hardships and we had to survive together and fight for our love, so now we have a union that can’t be broken.”
Following the ceremony, there were shady spots scattered with throws and cushions where guests could relax.
“A ‘boho’ corner with jute rugs, bamboo tables, cushions of various sizes on the floor…In the cocktail area, there was a folding bed, and different corners were included, each in a different style that complemented the composition perfectly. There was also a set with white sofas, with lavender, blue and white cushions, and bamboo tables accompanied by flowers and candles.”
The table was beautifully dressed in eye-catching shades of blue, and over the table a canopy with delicate glass baubles filled with candles, dangling from strings. As the golden afternoon gave way to the most lovely twilight, there was also a cascading wall of twinkling lights, too. Santi Taura created a wonderful wedding feast for everyone to enjoy.
“Different corners were prepared with some presents for our guests – llellés (the thing you put on your heels to dance with in the grass). There were also some blankets, a cigar bar, a candy bar full of sweets, which included brownies, cupcakes, donuts, macarons, tea biscuits, and a beautiful naked cake.”
As night fell, Lara changed into a chic black cocktail dress ready for dancing, and for their first dance as a married couple Lara and Nacho chose A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.
“My favourite part of the day was all day! Since the first moment everything was happy, full of laughs…Then the ceremony was a dream, the woods, the decoration, the speeches… The table was also my favourite part… so magical!”
